Was AF yesterday and declaring early for today so that takes me to 15/10 for April please cathybird4

Was my birthday yesterday and had a meal out with hubby, although we haven't separated yet, things are still strained and I needed a drink to get me through, we ended up having a row.
Been tough all round as my injury last year meant I was struggling to do my job, so they relocated me to a job that worked perfectly for me, then last week told me I have to go back to the original one. Was devasted and am suffering the back pain again at the end of the shift, but I really need the job, especially if I'm going to be single again.
Been on HRT for a while, then I got a letter through saying my testosterone levels are too high and to stop immediately (started the testosterone last summer and the difference in my mood and attitude has been amazing, so I don't want to stop). This is a worry for me.
Having said all of this, the good thing in my life has been that I am not drinking every night like I used to, I am eating healthily and looking after myself and have lost 1 1/2 stones since November.
Declaring early for tonight on 20 please @cathybird6 -
Jellybaby said:Hi everyone 👋 can I join please? I’ve been reading along for a while and know some of you from other threads.
For background, I went out for lunch and cocktails with friends on Saturday and don’t remember much after that. DS2 ‘scooped me up’ (his words) and brought me home. I can go weeks without any alcohol then once I start I’m greedy and in all honesty I don’t need to drink a lot to be under the weather - hangovers can last a few days and I hate the sluggish feelings.
For health, I’m thinking of cutting out alcohol completely until Christmas. This will be a big challenge for me as most of my friends and family drink and I’ve no doubt conversations will need to happen with some of them. I’ve got three events planned in May that I will now be driving to.
Can I go target free for May please and see how this goes?
That sounds like my drinking. I have a great time, but cannot control my exuberance and then drink too much, and then lose my memory (also known as a 'blackout').
I find it easier just to say I am not drinking today. I can manage a day of not drinking. That's all I need to do - not drink for one day at a time. Good luck.7
