Depends on the council. My hubby got his first one in just under 3 weeks but that was 9 years ago. The last replacement took 7 weeks.1

Mine have typically taken a couple of weeks, but as above that's not much help to you unless you live in the same area.0

I automatically qualify too. I ordered mine on 4th June and had an email on 25th June to ask for payment. 26th June I had an email to tell me it's been ordered and it would take about 10 days. A couple of weeks later it arrived.
Some LA's have backlogs so it can take a lot longer.0 -
Mine took 13/14 weeks this year. Only because I politely nudged them after 12 weeks, which is the earliest they will accept an enquiry.0

For those of you who have replied to these thread (and other people) was your application a renewal? or a brand new fresh application ?
cheers0 -
Mine was a new application. I also automatically qualified through PIP Enhanced Mobility.
I sent the blue badge team an email.0 -
Mine have been renewals but my original application was reasonably quick too. I can't remember how long exactly, in the order of a few weeks I think, but I do recall being surprised when they contacted me to say I'd been approved and to ask for payment because it was relatively quick and I didn't automatically qualify at that time.0
