Evening! So I randomly found myself watching Stacey Solomons sort your life and it gave me the motivation to sort my spare room of doom again! Tonight I went through clothes, I have one black bag to go to the clothing bank, I've got a black bag for vinted and already sold a top for £3! Tomorrow aim is the endless bed covers i dont need

Evening all. I am shattered physically and mentally. The physical knackeredness I am happy with. Up with the lark this morning and got straight on with usual morning chores. Did all the things I needed to get done. Before I went down this morning, I moved everything from in front of the airing cupboard to bedroom for sorting.Managed to clear another four big glass jars off pantry shelves, they’ve gone in recycling.Came up late afternoon and made hecking good start. Airing cupboard now sorted and tidy.
moved drawer unit on landing so I can actually open the drawers.
Emptied 2 enormous plastic boxes with lids and got all DHs sweatshirts, hoodies and jumpers, which were hanging over the banister, in them with ample room for all his long sleeve T-shirts that didn’t have a home. So pleased.
Now….there is a HUGE, and I seriously mean huge, pile of bedding and towels to go. All the towels, bathroom mats and fake sheepskin mattress covers need bagging up and are going to Cats Protection. Got to ring a charity who collects to see if they want the bedding. Here’s what I am struggling with: we have 2 beds. 1 single & 1 double. So why do I have enough bedding for a serious size hotel??!?? I had 2 brand new bags of 4 pillows unopened, I never needed them so why oh why did I throw that money away?
Ive kept 3 duvet sets for each bed, 3 sheets and quite a few pillowcases. Everything else gone. Must easily be at least 100 pieces to go.
Think I may sleep well tonight.

@BlueJ94 and @suzeesu2000 wow so much decluttering! V impressed with bedlinen..I have way too much but part with one or two items at a time which is v time consuming.
Have sold one small item which I packaged up and posted..2 more bowls.added to the cs bag so it was dropped off and donation to food bank. 2 cards out posted to dd2 but didn't realise can take 10 days to get to oz which seems a long time.by plane.

Scaffolding up but decorators can't do outside of the house til a few good days in a row of weather
Lonely planet australia book.brought in £1 and a bright patterned shirt , v different from my usual plain blue ( but one in every shade) shirt. I asked a lady in the cs if she thought it would.be ok on me. Of course as I wanted a yes I went up to the lady looking at a very bright patterned dress and was wearing lovely bright clothes so quite likely to say yes!

Wednesday: a dull cloudy start to the day with the forecast being low 15°C, high 21°C, humidity 71% + rain at 17:00 Wonder of wonders I was up & dressed by 10:00 but only because I misread my watch & thought it was 11:00 😅 Despite the Bank Holiday the household waste wheelie bin was emptied on time so I have added a new bin bag. I have done nothing but watch TV all day in between naps 😅 DH went out for a walk via As** - I needed some frozen peas as I was making linguine in a creamy bacon & pea sauce for dinner. A mixed day weather wise - got very dark but no rain, then sunshine & finally a 20 minute shower at about 16:30. We ate before 19:00 again. DH went out for a 2nd walk after dinner. Finally watched the whole of Robin Hood Prince of Thieves having only ever seen bits & pieces 😉 Wudupa

Liverpool_Anne, I was rather amused at This “on Sunday we went shopping. I took OH with me as "meat" had appeared on the shopping list 😁. As I am veggie and have been for years I never really take any notice of the meat section in the sm and if OH hasn't been specific about what meat is wanted I don't know what to pick up 😂” writing ‘meat’ almost sounded like an excuse to accompany you to the sm 😂 Hope ln has a lovely holiday 🙂 Fingers crossed that your OH’s letter gets a suitable & acceptable response 🤞 Excellent work in the garden 👏 Good luck with your listings & dealing with frogs 🍀
vulpix, hopefully you have now had some rain 🤞 I think it took over a year to get the wedding in place & the deacon alluded to some hiccups along the way 😞 However from the guests pov it was an absolutely brilliant day 🤩🥹 Good luck with your list of frogs 🍀
You are very welcome suzeesu2000 🙂 Great work emptying the Temu basket 👏
Willowtree222, every little bit counts 👏
suzeesu2000, great work dismantling the whirligig & also making a start on the landing/airing cupboard decluttering & tidying 👏
Excellent digital decluttering QueenJess 👏 & I notice that you have also found more physical items to declutter 🤩
Oops just spotted the time, so will post & run. Sleep tight 😴

Green_hopeful said:We go to a refill shop and get our cleaning products, shampoo, cooking oil, dried foods, milk and bread and sometimes eggs. I won’t buy stuff if we run out unless it’s essential because I don’t want the packaging and I want to support local businesses. The refill place takes jars and bottles for their ‘Lonely jar club’. Other customers can take a jar or bottle to use.We get our meat from the butcher. I sent my husband with tupperware tubs but he didn’t make himself clear so came back with the meat in plastic bags in his tubs. At least its just thin plastic so not too much.During lockdown we got a sodastream. We mostly just use it to fizz water but use it in squash if we want something flavoured.Between the milk cartons probably 100 per year, soda water 200 per year, fizzy drinks another 100 per year you would think we would see a big difference but we still have a lot of recycling. This makes such a difference. I use a refill shop as well for dried food stuff, eggs, cleaning stuff and even things like moisturiser and get my fruit and veg delivered in a box mostly packaging free (I make my own bread). Not found a good butcher round here yet and I tried milk deliveries but the company was awful. When I go on holiday it often doesn't work out, so I end up doing a one off supermarket shop for everything and the amount of packaging is shocking to me in comparison. I'm always irritated by the organic produce being wrapped in loads of plastic in the supermarket so you have to choose no packaging OR organic. Why can't I have both?2025 decluttering: 4,908 🌟🥉🌟💐🏅🏅🌟🥈🏅🌟🏅💐💎🌟🏅🏆🌟🏅🌟2025 use up challenge: 351🥉🥈🥇💎🏆Mini freezer challenge 0/-20Big kitchen declutter challenge 115/1502025 decluttering goals I Use up Challenge: 🥉365 🥈750 🥇1,000 💎2,000 🏆 3,000 👑 8,000 I 🥉12 🥈26 🥇52 💎 100 🏆 250 👑 50011

Me again, I really want a decluttered life so hoping this thread keeps me on the straight and narrow! Im going to put a rule in place for myself, I cant buy myself something without a reason say for example I wanted new jeans I would need to donate or sell the ones I'm going to get rid of to replace them. Same with make up unless I've used it all I cant buy myself more etcI’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Debt Free Wannabe boards and spending & discounts boards. Hi all, caught up with my sleep yesterday afternoon and didn't wake up until about 5 feeling much better for it. After tea I tackled some emails, 300 deleted, but that was all 😁.
I have a list for today, those frogs are croaking again 😂 but OH is back out to work and out from under my feet today so I am going to make a concerted effort to get them done 😁.
@Vulpix I forgot to say I am still battling with the bamboo, it is on my to do list still but the brambles and ivy caught my attention when I was last in a gardening mood 😁
@BlueJ94 I think one of the best ways to control the clutter is to stop it coming in so your plan to do a one in one out and use up what you have before buying more will definitely help 😁
Right time to get weaving
Hugs to everyone who would like one
