For all those in the Poodle Club, sending hugs also, especially for @Remmie, @mehefin, and @nannywindow.
I have a nephew whose wife won't let us see their children - haven't seen their daughter in 5 years and have never met their son, soon to be three (just on FaceBook where she posts pictures showing them with her family). My roommate G didn't hear from any of his three children this year. Maybe it was just the year 2024 that has everyone having relative problems.
