Hope my directions make sense, @CapricornLass. Last time I made Crab Apple Jelly, ? in 2020, I think I sourced them from the same tree on Countess Road. I definitely parked in the same location that time, but I don't recall the tree being as far from the bus stop where I parked.

My digital thermometer is one of the most useful things I have in the kitchen. No more worrying about whether meat is underdone or not. When it gets to 60 degrees it's perfect or 55 for beef which we like rare. The temperature carries on increasing while it restsIt doesn't matter if you are a glass half full or half empty sort of person. Keep it topped up! Cheers!7

We went to the local Memorial Hall for the monthly film show, £5 each including tea and biscuits during the intermission. The presenter read out the small print about the characters at the end of the film for us.
The film was Mr Burton, set in 1942, which I thought the FOTR group might enjoy.

Thanks for the recommendation, @Nelliegrace. Wikipedia tells me it's a biopic of Richard Burton, released earlier this year.

@Laura_Elsewhere I made a version of your Banana Bites yesterday Only 1.5 bananas available so adapted recipe to suit, I judged the syrup quantity Guessed!. Problem finding a tin small enough to suit so spread it as best I could. Result some lovely thin crunchy areas, some slightly thicker, absolutely yummy and so quick and easy - will be a fixture from now on. Very big thank you from the South of the county.❤️The best thing about the future is that it comes one day at a time. (Abraham Lincoln)9

maryb said:I really want to watch Bookish but we can't get U&Alibi as it's only available on subscription channels. Still, it'll be on the free channels soon enough and the second series of Karen Pirie was an acceptable substitute (did we really dress like that in 1984? I'm afraid we did)
I didn't enjoy this series of Karen Pirie as much as the first one, although I did think the costuming in the 1984 bits was excellent. If only I hadn't gotten hung up on how a striking miner had a brand new car 🙈
My watching would be so much more enjoyable if I didn't get hung up on these things 🤣A small, orange, enamel teapot sort of person apparently...

Well, another coupon to declare as I didn't have enough of the pinky mauve colour and, astonishingly!, nothing in my extensive stash was close enough to wing it.
I don't have enough of the main body yarn but as this was a charity shop purchase I will select another from the sweater colourwork to do the neck ribbing.
After this sweater I'll switch to Christmas projects - OH socks won't knit themselves!

That's lovely @alicef. I do admire fair isle and have booked a course at the end of September. I can do any pattern in one colour - love Aran - but colour floats scare the heck out of me“the princess jumped from the tower & she learned that she could fly all along. she never needed those wings.”
