I was thinking very much the same, Laura - about my house not yours, obviously. However, I think I would rather have plenty of 'pending' projects than nothing to look forward to, wouldn't you?
You've already got 11 reverse coupons, so perhaps you could add a few more over the next few months.I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)

You and me, both, @Laura_Elsewhere. Big hugs.
Because my desk is now positioned in the middle of the spare room where it's all stored, I am very conscious of the amount of money I have tied up in yarn and fabric. I really should get on and make the Harris Tweed skirt and trousers to go with my blazer, the fabric for which I purchased last year.
On the plus side, having shrunk a dress size or two when I was ill, I'm now fitting into suits that I optimistically kept from a decade or so ago, so at least I have some outfits I can wear to work. Ditto jeans and shorts. However, I will need to have a major altering session at some point to take in the larger skirts and trousers, probably over Christmas since I have 2 whole weeks booked off then.

@Cherryfudge I think that’s got to happen!!
Like Pip and Wraithlady, I have a tweed project- a 3/4-circle calf-length skirt I started a couple of years ago to wear for teaching in my autumn half-a-term of multiple courses… which has all now come to an end, so no more teaching clothes needed- so I can make it for general wear and not worry about keeping it pristine!
three years ago? And the crimson cotton culottes are now five years part-sewn, and I believe the shell-pink satin dressing-gown was cut out seven years ago… sigh…2025 remaining: 37 coupons from 66:

kiwisavings said:Hello everyone,
here's a few Youtube channels that might be of interest:
Real Vintage Dolls House
- clothing, food and 1940s style househttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ENO2rYroPIs
Retro Claude
- follows 1940's clothes rationing, knitting to reduce wool stashhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8FKAKhszamA
Utility Jude - mostly about food rationing, has a 1940s style househttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SSvcaRCYcwY
Does anyone watch any other channels that are about rationing?
Today is the 80th anniversary of VJ Day. Was anyone else touched by the King’s message? I can’t help think of my mum’s older brother, who was a POW in one of the Japanese camps. I don’t think I ever knew for certain the details of where/which one, He died when I was 7 from the after effects of his war wounds (according to my mum). That was nearly 30 years after he was liberated. I never met him. He lived 750-ish miles away and we were on our way to visit, when he passed away.

I also have an extensive fabric stash that I have managed to ignore for now as it is all packed up in boxes and stuffed under the stairs.
