@PipneyJane honestly I think it is immoral to be giving out dividends to share holders when there is not enough money to run the business. If the law only allowed dividends to be paid from post tax profit maybe they would do a better job of running the company. I am still incensed by bank officials being awarded massive bonuses after the bank fiasco which resulted in tax payers rescuing them. Bonuses should be paid for doing an exceptional job not only surviving by getting massive hand outs from the tax player. There are many people who work very hard for very little money and via their taxes paid for those bonuses. Sorry rant over 😁.

Sewing Bee was interesting.  No spoilers but I did wonder at the skill levels, particularly when at least one of the garments was too tight for the model to wear comfortably.

I'm down to 1.5 coupons! - I bought 2 tops on holiday in Italy. Nothing really wrong with the ones I had in my case but these caught my fancy. one is just a t-shirt but will go with the white and green secondhand skirt I bought recently, and the other is white with blue feathering, the soft of pattern you might see on a china cup. That is thicker and will go with jeans or be smart enough for work (3/4 sleeves). 
I was saving coupons for trousers but still can't find anything I prefer to the ones I've got, even with them slightly too large now. I'll keep trying charity shops.

No new spends for me. At the moment I am wearing a white nightie that was my DM and has St Michael's on the label. Nostalgia kicked in. A couple of weeks ago, I came across an old St Michael's plastic bag that was advertising that 90% of their products were made in the UK. I wish that I had taken a photo of it. Something that we could only dream of today.

I really want to watch Bookish but we can't get U&Alibi as it's only available on subscription channels.  Still, it'll be on the free channels soon enough and the second series of Karen Pirie was an acceptable substitute (did we really dress like that in 1984?  I'm afraid we did)

Great bag @Gem-gem,

I'm not sure about the number of coupons needed for the cotton yarn - are we counting this as knitting yarn?
If so, the 150g would require 3 coupons.
But the Clothing Coupon Quiz from September 1941 only mentions yarn that contains at least 16% wool, so I'm not sure. 





Does anyone else have any ideas?

I wish I could knit @alicef, I have fun co-ordinating two needles and the yarn! There are so many lovely knitting patterns around. It can be frustrating.
