OneEdge Saver (6% for a yr) for each current account (1 single and 2 for joint). Only downside is the £3 mthly fee for each current account, but if you have some SOs in there it compensatesGiven that the essence of a Regular Saver is regular deposits, the Edge saver is anything but a Regular Saver.Nor is is being described or marketed as a Regular Saver by Santander.Nobody has yet described the Cahoot Sunny Day Savers or similar offerings as Regular Savers, even though they have very similar characteristics as the Edge saver, and long may this thread be reserved for true Regular Savers.
You could always use the Edge as Regular Saver if you wanted?
In your defence however, I do think the criticism should have been directed at Castle 96, who appears to have initiated the Edge discussion.
It's one thing when not so well informed forumites are confusing all sorts of savings accounts with Regular Saving accounts but it's quite sad to see that regular posters in this thread are responding to such posts without explaining that Regular Savings accounts are a distinct kind of accounts.I would suggest people should be guided by the list of accounts on page 1 of this thread, so fantastically maintained by @Bridlington1. I hope he will not decide to confuse the issue by adding pseudo / pretend Regular Savings accounts, such as the Cahoot and Coventry Sunny Day Savers, the Chase and Chip easy access savers with special 6 or 12 months newbie rates, and the Santander Edge saver etc etc to the extensive list of actual Regular/Monthly Saver accounts. To those who say they would have missed the Edge Saver (and others) if these had not been mentioned in this thread: they misunderstand the purpose of the thread (which is clearly defined on page 1), and they are probably missing out on a great deal more besides. They could do worse than following the distinct other threads on this forum for other types of savings accounts, and by regularly checking the moneyfacts savings pages.
I'm not sure whether you are referencing me in this post, but I was responding to someone whingeing about why the Edge Saver was mentioned.
By the way, the Coventry Sunny Day Saver IS a regular saver.
These other accounts are going to be accounts which people who frequent this thread are naturally going to be interested in5 -
I shan't make any further comment beyond this observation... If you add up the number of posts discussing accounts other than RS and weigh against the number of posts debating whether we should have posts discussing accounts other than RS here, you'll come to a clear conclusion about which of the two has been more derailing today. Perhaps a little more tolerance would have led to fewer pages to scroll through.8

Updates to the Archived Thread:
Since the Archived thread was launched just over 2 years ago I have been continually adding new regular saver Ts&Cs to it as and when they've been launched. This list has grown considerably since its launch, having more than doubled from under 200 at the time of launch to approximately 400 at the time of typing this.
The volume of data presents a few difficulties, firstly the fact that as the number of accounts grows it inevitably becomes harder to find the one you want in amongst it all. Secondly there is a limit to the number of characters I can have in a single post, this has meant that I've had to split the list over an increasing number of posts and if things continued as they were I would be in danger of running out of room on page 1 of the archived thread within the next year or two.
To counteract this I have reviewed each of the regular savers listed on the Archived thread and divided them into two groups:
1. Holdable regular savers- this includes all currently available regular savers, and all NLA regular savers in which the maturity dates of the final account to be opened is still in the future.
2. Entirely NLA regular savers- Accounts which went NLA rather a long time ago and all accounts should've now matured
Only holdable regular savers are to be listed on page 1 of the archived thread. The Entirely NLA regular savers have now been migrated to a new spreadsheet, the Regular Saver Archives spreadsheet, available via the view only link in this paragraph.
Every so often I plan to review the regular savers on the main list and move any new entirely NLA regular savers to the spreadsheet.10 -
I'd much rather have interesting posts about the Santander Edge Saver account on this thread (even though the Edge Saver is not a Regular Saver on the generally accepted meaning of that term) than posts arguing for or against such posts being admissible on this thread,1

Or any other non-compliance ?In the product details there is the following sentence :'If you're not saving for your first home, we can transfer your money to an online easy access savings account.'which I take to be a possible severe consequence should anyone not comply.Thank you for your reply.I'll look into this one now. Hopefully, if challenged, it will be early in the term and I could use arguments like 'saving for my first home in Wales' or '...independent of my wife'. The rate offered is nothing special and right at my lower limit.

If we not classing Edge as a regular saver than surely you can't really class NatWest or RBS as ones either, all 3 pay out monthly and you can regularly pay in.
Each to their own anyway😏🤔🙃1
