Don't understand why you would think it would bounce back ? You made a transfer to your RS, but it won't be dated until tomorrow and won't accrue any interest so you could move it back to the joint or just move it to the ISA now as you have the a/c details which won't show in the app til tomorrow or Tues.Slinky said:Slightly off topic, we tried opening a NatWest ISA for OH yesterday, which although it has issued an account number, hasn't appeared on his account list. Annoyingly I transferred £5K to our joint account yesterday in anticipation of moving it into the ISA. He has a Regular Saver with them which I previously emptied as he's nearing his £500 PSA, so I've just moved the £5K into the RS to see what would happen, and it's accepted the transfer. Will they bounce this back to the joint account I wonder or leave it?The reason it might bounce is it's £5K, not the maximum £150 per month per the account. Can't do a direct transfer to the ISA as it's not showing as an available account within the App or online. When I called on Friday to request a paper form, I was told that they are hoping to make the regular saver available to open online in a few weeks. I'm not planning to wait until but some people might prefer to.22 -

Being nosey... How many Regular Saver accounts do you have? — MoneySavingExpert Forum1 -
I personally haven't but others have reported withdrawing funds from the RS and then replacing or topping up with more than £150pm. I suppose you're in the lap of the gods as to whether it gets picked up or not.Slinky said:exel1966 said:

Just set it up as a new payee and do the payment to the ISA that way rather than using the unavailable quicker way?0 -
I moved >£3k out of the RBS RS in Sep but moved it all back again before month-end. What I haven't done is try to replace "borrowed" funds in a new month.exel1966 said:

I guessed as much from the wording used on their website.granta said:Scottish Building Society

It's also possible, if/when they do an online version, that they will allow both to be opened.4 -
Completely off topic but I won a prize for being the nth saver (can remember, maybe 500th) at Midland Bank in the brand new then Tesco Brent Park. Was about age 10. Unknown to me why, the bank manager came to my primary school to pick me up in his car in the middle of class, and take me into the bank for some old style photo opps. I do remember I got 5 * old style £5 notes and some other bits and pieces, the 'story' made it into the local free newspaper. That was way back when having a bank at a supermarket was a complete novelty. In fact the massive supermarket in the middle of London was in of itself quite the novelty, with a petrol station et al.HHUK said:
Came in a Midland Bank holdall as I recall. Probably talking late 80s? Wouldn't surprise me if my daughter still has her dictionary, but I suspect the geometry set has long since been discarded.s71hj said:

I’d rather have an opening date closer to the end of the month for SBS, so will only send the form off if the e version doesn’t materialise with the same terms. Progressive tomorrow, hopefully the authenticator isn’t too bad as I don’t have WhatsApp. Does the authenticator need to be downloaded from an App Store or it just pops up in the browser?0

Do you already have an authenticator app in use for other login(s)? You can use the same one or, if not, download one from your App Store. Google and Microsoft have commonly used apps but there are others. Most people have an Authenticator on their mobile device but they are available for Windows, Ente Auth is one I've used.Kim_13 said:Progressive tomorrow, hopefully the authenticator isn’t too bad as I don’t have WhatsApp. Does the authenticator need to be downloaded from an App Store or it just pops up in the browser?

If you prefer, they can arrange for you to receive emails instead. That's what I've done, you just need to ask them.Kim_13 said:I’d rather have an opening date closer to the end of the month for SBS, so will only send the form off if the e version doesn’t materialise with the same terms.
