SCOTTISH B.S. reg. saver 6.5% variable (for those living locally)
The nice people at Troon branch told me this morning that the account will normally be open in 2 working days. I went there with my ID and proof of address and it took just 5 minutes to apply as a new member.2 -

Sounds beyond my technical abilities!allegro120 said:
I inserted the picture of my signature in signature box. It looks the same as if it was printed, signed and scanned. I don't think they will be able to tell the difference. E-mailed the pdf together with picture of my passport this morning.s71hj said:
So is there a way to apply by email without printing off form to sign then scanning?chris_the_bee said:

Have had to order a cheque book, so hoping this RS stays about for a while so I can get to opening itScottish BSThe application form only says to send cheque if applying by post. Presumably, if applying by emailling the completed form & id, then the first payment would be by transfer.
Correct. I just phoned for confirmation. I normally write at top of form "To be paid by bank transfer once account is open."1 -
I wouldn't call it the usual Virgin policy. It might be the T&Cs for this accountfrancoghezzi said:

Unless you already have a SBS ac to make an internal transfer from, you'll be contacted and asked to send a cheque.clivep said:topyam said:Scottish BS

Sent monthly payment to Monmouth on 30th Sept, rather than 1st Oct. Anyone know if they bounce back automatically as I’d already reached the Sept limit? It hasn’t been credited but just wondered if anyone has experience before I contact them.0

So this month I've funded:
CO OP
Market Harborough (only £10 as it's 6% & ends next month)
Principality (4X 6 Monthly + 1 Xmas)
Saffron Members Month
Virgin
I took out some of my Club Lloyds Regular to fund this month's regulars, makes sense to me as all the above are between 6.5% & 8%.
Club Lloyds is only 6.25%. (still a decent account if you have a Club Lloyds Current account as easy access but yeah, 6.5% is my minimum now for main funding)
Not due any savings to end until 6th November & that's going to be Principality Xmas, least I can take that off my list to fund next month now.
Then 30th November I have Market Harborough & a Principality 6 Month ending.
Edit: My Newcastle Regular Saver ends 31st October but it's only currently got £1 in, did have £201 & £241 in for a short time though, so I'll get something from them 🤣.
Am I right in thinking the Manchester Regular Saver is 5.5%, where as Newcastle Regular is only 5.25%?, also Manchester has a £500 monthly limit Vs £200 Newcastle?.
Bit crazy if so as Newcastle own Manchester.0 -
I sent mine after midnight so technically the 1st. Not credited yet but I'll hold off until after the 9am update tomorrow b4 contacting if still necessary.SCC2 said:Sent monthly payment to Monmouth on 30th Sept, rather than 1st Oct. Re. Scottish BS RS
Applying as a new customer, can the application be emailed together with id and deposit sent by bank transfer once account is open or do i need to send application, id and cheque in post?0 -
See https://newcastle.co.uk/savings/monument-regular-saver-branch which is the "real" equivalent account from Newcastle, bit niche though.jameseonline said:
