Has anyone had any success trying to open previous versions of their regular savers by post?
I have the 6% RS maturing end of November, which you could open & manage online. I didn't open their later 5.8% RS, due to it being branch only & the weird rule about having a strict maximum across multiple RS accounts.
I was looking to see what they had currently, thinking ahead as to what will be the replacement, and spotted this:

6% Limited Edition Branch only, which I think is new?

Branch only so no good for me unless postal application might be accepted? The "How do I open & manage" section does mention postal application but seems to be specifically for an adult opening one for an under 18 as opposed to an adults own account :(

    Nationwide RS account question.

My RS account  is due to mature on 21 October, but l could do with the cash  before the 27th of this month. (Although  l could manager) If l close the account, how much interest  would l forfeit
Depends how much money you've got in the account....
Sorry, I should have said it's fully funded except  for Oct.
    About 1/12th of £85, so 7 quid-ish.
    Thank you for that.

If it's fully funded you've got £2,400 in it
So, losing 24 days interest at 6.5% would be about £10.25
    Thank you.

Yes, I got confirmation the branch account was open yesterday. The email thanked me for visiting the Newport Branch of the MBS to open the account. 😀😀I've never been to Newport in my life but am happy if they think I have.

Newport is the branch which is quickest to get to form London. It's quite handy, as there's a branch of Principality opposite!

Opened Thursday last week. No previous YBS account ever. Passed the id check. Funded it today, Tuesday, and showing in the app within minutes.
As a comment, you can apparently only install the app on one device. Or at least accessing with a second device means it resets the biometrics and full login required.
