Finally managed to get the MBS 7% account. They made me register as a new app customer even though I have been using the app for a while. Never mind, I got back in, got the new account, and all my previous accounts are still there, too
Thought I should mention they don’t now allow you applying for a second 7% one 😉2 -
Application timed out so logged her back in tried again, reapplied, timed out again. Opened app again to reapply... And now she has 2 of them open!!!! So what to do.....?s71hj said:

I thought I'd opened an account on the app yesterday, but not convinced now that I actually did.
Did you get your account (reference) number? You could try setting up a payee, CoP should be up to date.
CoP has worked and hopefully have added it to my online banking now.

Nothing to do with MonBS, but they really need to make the COP system immediate and live. It's not rocket science to work out that customers will want to pay money in when opening accounts.0

Told them I was unhappy with the time it was taking and asked them to put a marker on my file so that if withdrawn they would honour my application which they agreed to. Obviously no longer required for me but may help others if major app problems re-occur1

Also accidentally opened two accounts. My phone screen times out after 30 seconds, and when I tried to reactivate the screen I had to log back in to the app. Assumed application had not been processed, so did it again, and kept screen active. Secon daccount appeared after I logged out and in again. Doesn't seem to be any option in the app to close the second account. Will leave it unfunded, and message them once things have calmed down.
Confirmation of payee has not worked for me, but hopefully my £50 will show up in a coupe of hours.
How quickly are bank transfers in being processed?0
