I have the fear of withdrawing my natwest digital regular saver account to another higher interest easy access account because it took me years to get to 5k from only £150 a month out! Anyone else feel the same? Wondering if its worth it for the extra 0.5 %
The thing is you can get to 5K much quicker these days with 5x round ups.
I know last month l managed to add an extra £208.83 just by using the ×5 round up.
Bit sick of carrots and bananas now, though!
Presumably round ups can also be achieved eg by debit card payments into own account with a building society account, Trading 212, Revolut etc etc rather than supermarket purchases? It's something I want to start doing, hence the question!
I've got the debit card linked to PayPal and doing a Friends'n'Family transfer of 1p from Me1 to Me2 (2nd PayPal account). Been doing this once daily since the 5x roundup came in. Shifts £4.95/day to the DRS. Takes a minute.

Don't really use PayPal or the NatWest account for anything else so no real concerns about being shut down.
What is the process for that on the PayPal app. I've never quite managed to work it out!
The adding of a card or the paying f&f or having 2 accounts?
    The paying bit
Ok, assuming that you have a "friend or family" with a PayPal account (although I'm not actually sure that's needed) and that they are in your Contacts, accessible to your PayPal app.

    Take Send/Request from Home page
Put friend's name in search bar (or touch search bar to bring up your Contacts list)
Select your pal, brings up screen where you enter ".01" in the £ field and hit send
A Review screen - check that your Debit card is the correct one and that the payment shows as "Friends and family" and the PayPal fee = £0.
    Hit Send
Confirmation message saying "You've sent £0.01 to Your Friend, you tight !!!!!!"
That pal should appear on your home screen under "Send again".

That's obviously all using the app, I'm assuming doing it in a browser will be similar.

    Good luck.

Anyone opened the Saffron Refer a Friend RS as a new customer without receiving a referral email?
loose does not rhyme with choose but lose does and is the word you meant to write.

It would be interesting to know whether anyone escapes being caught - perhaps if an account stays open long enough to get a 2nd payment in (or 3rd if anyone got a payment in dated 31 May.)
    Saffron?
I didn't escape.  My MMLS and my OH's RaF weren't affected because they are both legitimate.  The other two (my RaF and my OH's MMLS) were closed as expected.  Fair play.

Nationwide BS Flex Regular Saver (Issue 5) at 6.5% to go NLA. Replaced by Issue 6 at the same rate.
Didn’t they launch that issue about 2 days ago? 🤣

Whilst Progressive BS have handled their system upgrade atrociously, they are more 'progressive' in terms of moving away from SMS OTPs. Passkeys and hardware security keys may still be too niche for widespread adoption, but authenticator apps—which exist as desktop apps too, e.g. Ente Auth, OneAuth, KeePassXC (guide)—aren't something to actively resist if you prefer web banking.

I don't actively resist anything techy that my eyes can read! So, would Progressive BS allow me to use PC versions of the Apps you mention above to logon? Or is it something either I and/or Progressive would have to enable asap?
I've used authenticator apps on a smartphone for years but never one running on a PC, so thought I'd try one of these out and try and swap my ProgBS account from Google Authenticator to EnteAuth.

EnteAuth download and setup on a laptop is straightforward, trying to change authenticator app in my Progressive profile (there's a button for this) produces spinning dots which have been spinning for 20 minutes, so I'm assuming that's broken.

In theory it should display a code either as a QR code (usually for reading with a smartphone authenticator app) or the same code as a long text string which I could cut'n'paste into EnteAuth.

    Well I tried.

Might work for someone who is setting up an authenticator from scratch but I can well understand that anyone who has cash in ProgBS and a working login method may not want to muck with their setup at the moment.

And, of course, in order to try to change your authentication method you need to be able to logintntn....
. My authenticator app with progressive only requires me to open the phone it brings up the approval screen instantly and with one swipe  it's approved
Very good. I was trying to use an authenticator installed on a laptop rather than a smartphone.

    Which app do you have?
    Salesforce

I'd give it a go, but see above about inability to change Auth App.

Not yet, but I remain optimistic. The Ts and Cs state they will select the winners within 20 working days after 31 May, and notify them and pay out within  a further 30 working days. See clauses 9.6 and 9.7:
