Melton BS Regular Saver NLA but still showing on moneyfacts.

    @Bridlington1

Was removed from the first page of this thread about a month ago due to it going NLA. Moneyfacts are yet to notice it has gone NLA though.
No problem, I don't have accounts with Melton so ignored any detailed conversations so far but was looking at it as I have spare cash that needs a home and the rate looked attractive. Hopefully something else comes around soon :-)
Melton regular saver 5 is still available though; and  can almost be treated as an easy access account.
£500 max monthly deposit, withdrawal access and 5% interest if balance kept under £6k.

I had a bit of a conversation with Moneyfacts about this last week! They took it off the list for a couple of hours and then came back to me saying it was still available on branch so put it back on their site!

Good morning - I've chosen to close my Aldermore 5% Regular Saver set up on 3rd January earlier this year because the rate drops to 4.75% tomorrow - whilst it says that I can close the account and the money (currently £1500) will be sent to my nominated account (Lloyds) it then states that I won't be able to log in to my account if I close it so before I do that, can I just check - will the £1500 be sent with added interest or will I just get my £1500 back?!?  I think I know the answer but just thought I'd ask you kind people if anyone knows already.

Btw I've checked all the terms and conditions in the paperwork saved regarding this account but can't find the answer to this question, I've secure messaged Aldermore as well but thought MSE forumites might be quicker!

    Thank you xx

If you close the account, accrued interest will be paid to date of closure.

Or you could withdraw all but £1 and keep it open, in order to maintain a relationship with Aldermore, and in case the account becomes competitive again before it matures

[Removed by Forum Team] came back to me as well and told me I wasn’t allowed another regular saver 3. Oh well, was good for the short time it lasted.
[Removed by Forum Team] from Principality has not been your friend for sure and it's annoying not being able to make some extra interest. Rachel from Accounts is perhaps more of a concern to us and could cost us far more of future returns e.g. ISA's but we shall see.

Anyhow, it's all been fairly quiet on the regular saver front, not many new accounts and mainly notices of rate reductions.

Personally, I am hoping the Virgin regular saver is still around in July when my 10% version matures. Skipton is also maturing in about 2 weeks for me and of course I am hoping [Removed by Forum Team] will not block me from having a third issue 3 regular saver so going to submit maturity instruction online on the day before maturity after business hours on the 4th.
My 3rd and 4th issue3s are coming on 30th May and 5th June respectively.  I've received e-mail and letter confirmation for both. I expect them to be opened as promised.

    Principality 6 month RS renewal.

I hope you have better luck than I did.  I was just messaged and very politely told no, by [Removed by Forum Team]

Me too, I took the online maturity option of issue 3 rsa, despite already having one.  It accepted it, we ll see on actual maturity date if computer says no.

Huge congrats to all posters on here, I have 30 active rsa s with 9k pcm going in.  It is indeed a hobby.

By Friday next week I'll know if [Removed by Forum Team] said yes or no to me, as I'll have four Issue 3s by then if she says yes!

I received a letter through the post from Principality saying my maturity instructions will be carried out on the 3rd June and funds will be sent to my nominated account.  Fingerscrossed they deduct the £200 as requested and open another issue 3 regular saver with it.  No messages from [Removed by Forum Team] and sincerely hope shes lost my address.
