I opened it on the 26th, as it was the last day to be a working day in both March and September. My Issue 1 matured on a Saturday and meant the funds were not optimally placed until Monday.

I took a guess and figured that as there isn’t a 31st September, it would shorten the term by a day. I wasn’t sure of the Maths of whether getting £400 in a few days sooner would gain more interest than having an extra day on the term - but do let us know whether it’s set to mature on 30 September as I expect or 1 October.

It does not tell me the end date yet, I think it will update in the next day or so. 30/09/25 maturity.
    £200 showing up already.
A extra £200 is in the account for 29 days this month, Not sure on the math's but 29 days is better than loosing 1 day.

Hopefully all forumites with the issue have at least one bank account that allows COP to be overriden.
It would appear these are falling in number as time goes by. If they do all disappear, hopefully debit card funding will regain popularity as a fall-back.
Rather than more debit card deposits, I'd like to see more deposits through Open Banking
If the bank mandates that there must be a COP match, then OB deposits may also be rejected for this reason. OB merely automates the process of setting up a faster payment or standing order.
I've had an OB payment blocked by my bank in the past, just like a manual payment, although thankfully such occurrences with either mechanism have been rare for me, and easily sorted out with a call to the bank.

Furness Question……Should I submit the payment today for my Regular Saver (can fund 1st of each month), or will it be rejected because it’s the 31st?

Most of my accounts allow you to pick either today or a future date, so you could set up today to be paid tomorrow if yours is the same.

I thought you could only have one Principality 6 month RS per issue. I have one issue 2 and one issue 3. Can I open a second  issue 2?

Probably not. IIRC 2 x Issue 2 happened when they offered an Iss2 as a maturity option for a different ac when some already had an Iss2 in existence.

However, it doesn't take long to try - let us know how you get on.

    I can confirm I couldn't open a 3rd... :)

I had an issue 1, then issue 2 went live so opened one as well.
Issue 1 matured and gave the option of reinvesting all or some of the money, I went for some.
The some option was an issue 2 reg saver.
    So I opened it.
When issue 2 matures you might be able to open a second issue 3.
Or in my case a second and third issue 3.
