    Melton Adcock Regular Saver

A 5 star service from Melton. I sent my application form on Monday, the account has been opened and funded yesterday and today I was able to go on line and see my account and money duly registered. On Monday, although it wasn't requested, as a new customer, I sent my council tax letter as a prove of address for them and today was returned in the post. I hope this could be helpful for those who are thinking of opening the account. I made a couple of phone calls also and the people there are absolutely lovely.
    Just for balance...

New Melton customer, sent Adcock RS application form off 1st class w/ cheque on 17/03

    Cheque cashed 21/03.

No communication whatsoever from Melton to date.
I paid with electronic transfer from my nominated account, so much easier than writing and sending a check that is not a 'must' for them. Anyone can chose to make even the first payment from bank order just ticking the option in the application form. I guess this makes the process really quick. When they phoned me to inform that the account had been opened I was given sort code, account and reference for my bank and sent the first payment in a minute. Now waiting for next Tuesday to pay for the second calendar month
Doesn’t have to come from nominated account only used for transfers out.
Has your nominated account been approved?

Approved and verified. I used my nominated account because I don't see any advantage to mess things up unnecessarily. Once I sent my first deposit I changed it directly to a standing order. Job done

If, like me, you had not got around to opening Principality Issue 2 yet, it's possible to apply for it by modifying the issue 3 link so the product code is 6083 rather than 6084.

This will likely not last long.
    Still worked today.
    Principality

Just a heads up this still works just opened a 6 Month Regular Saver Issue 2
... and just to add ... I opened my Issue 3 on the 13th March and the Issue 2 on the 19th March (thanks to WillPS and redpete) ... no comebacks except they keep sending me reminders to complete a survey about my experience in opening a new Regular Saver ... haha

Has anyone opened more than two of the Issue 2?
Was wondering  the same thing. I had issue 2 which  matured, so I was wondering if l should try for a second attempt at issue 2.

If you no longer have an open Issue 2 then I can't see why not, it's having more than one (open) account of the same Issue number that is disallowed by the T&Cs.

I already had an Issue 2 open; they then matured a previous RS account into another Issue 2 on the 22/3 🙄

I applied for the Melton Adcock Regular Saver by post to their freepost address about a week ago and indicated I would make my opening deposit by electronic transfer.  I received a slip from them yesterday with the details needed to do this.  COP matched and I have transferred the opening deposit.
My question is do I need to ring them to obtain online access or when they have credited the account will they send me out details for this along with their saving card/passbook?
    Thanks
You will receive a letter with your online ID. Another letter asking you to ring them to get. a temporary online password. When you call them they give you the first digits of the password and they email you the remaining digits . You can then log in and set your own password. I received a passbook from them showing the entry for my initial £150 deposit made by electronic transfer. I also received another letter with details of how to verify my nominated bank for withdrawals.
What details do you have to enter to setup SO
IE your name or societies name?
    Personal or business ?
Bank sort code and account number ref passbook account number
    Currently bank not recognising details
