    According to moneyfacts:

Suffolk BS Online 1 Year Variable Rate Regular Saver (31.03.2026) and Suffolk 1 Year Variable Rate Regular Saver (31.03.2026) at 5% to go NLA by 17/3/25.

To be replaced by Online Fixed Rate Regular Saver (30.06.2026) and Fixed Rate Regular Saver (30.06.2026) both at 5%
Suffolk 1 Year Fixed Rate Regular Saver (30.06.2026) and Suffolk BS Online 1 Year Fixed Rate Regular Saver (30.06.2026) at 5% now live as advertised. First page of this thread has been updated to reflect this.
I am wondering if it makes sense to close the variable rate RS to open fixed rate RS. All expectations despite market rumblings point to fall in rate in future. What do you all think?
Apologies for not replying to your post in one go, I only had a couple of minutes left of a dinner break when I saw your post so prioritised giving you the archived link in response to the first part.

In answer to the second part of your comment my understanding of Suffolk BS's Ts&Cs was that if you've already funded the account and are beyond the cooling off period you shouldn't have the option to close the Suffolk BS variable rate regular savers at present anyway. The only exception being if they announced a cut to the interest rate of the account, in which case you'd have 30 days from them notifying you of the cut in which you could close the account without notice or penalty.

Additionally as already pointed out the Ts&Cs don't prohibit you holding both the fixed and variable versions simultaneously so you are free to hold both.

Just checked Suffolk BS Ts & Cs for the online  fixed RS Saver.  There is no cooling off period.  It says
"This product does not have a cooling off period. Once you have made your first deposit, you cannot access your funds until 1 July 2026".

You are correct in stating this is the case for the online fixed rate RS, however in the post you quote I was referring to the NLA Online 1 Year Variable Rate Regular Saver (31.03.2026). The terms for this account state:

Thanks for bringing that difference between the Ts&Cs for the different accounts to my attention though, it's a change that could easy be left overlooked.

Had my Gatehouse 7% Regular Saver mature today, £3747.17 so £3600 + £147.17 interest, any idea how long it takes to get my into my nominated account?, seemed to make out it's faster payment but it can't be as I requested hours ago.

I know Coventry is next day.

Thanks, hopefully in a few more hours then, maybe the account is still to fully change because it's still saying Regular Saver but with a smaller %, but then it did show as available funds, 🤔

I think they probably do them in batches.

Whenever I have made early morning requests to Gatehouse for a withdrawal on a working day, the money has appeared into my nominated account between 11:20am - 11:35am (just checked - last six transactions)

It's random, between 2 and 9 hours in my experience.  You should receive your money today.

Application sent in a prepaid 2nd class envelope (came with a survey when I opened Issue 6, which I filled out online) last Thursday, account appeared online yesterday afternoon sometime. No COP match either yesterday or today so have sent a test payment, thankfully I did not send the maximum deposit by cheque.
