Regarding Saffron I left a secure message on the website yesterday and they have accepted maturity instructions by this route - £500 into a new regular saver and the residue back to my linked account.
They also said that the account number will remain the same so you dont and to cancel your standing order, just alter the final dates.

    Progressive

I see according to Bridlington's archived T&Cs that the Progressive account has daily free withdrawals

    "Can I withdraw money?
Yes, you can make unlimited withdrawals from your account."

It's getting down to the point where I might start to ditch them so will think about it

Thank you to those who spend 1 second of their lives to write down the subject of their posts (the name of the building society they are talking about). Too many posts  make very little sense and are difficult to understand. It doesn't take a lot of effort to help keeping the forum tidy and readable for everybody
Thank you to everybody who contributes to this thread. :)

I'd rather spend a few seconds of my own time working out which account a poster is talking about, rather than be in a situation where they don't post what may be very useful information because they are fed up with the nitpicking by folks who seem to have plenty of time to complain about what is and isn't posted on this thread.

It is the helpful information which is important here, not how tidy it is.
I think your comment says it all regarding the author. I wish you all the best and thank you for your very kind replay. You are a gem of this forum without any doubt

    Saffron 12 month  @ 4.75%?
Yes, not the best but better than nothing as you can add £500 per month.
