    Principality Maturity
My Princi 2 Yr HH bonds are maturing tomorrow. What is the latest time I can give maturity instruction?
Ideally trying to give instruction after their staff logs out. I assume its 6 pm.
This is a desperate attempt to fly under the radar & hope for a new maturity instruction acct to be opened.
I may or may not be successful, but I can certainly try & report here later.

I did it the evening before maturity, and the balance minus £200 was transferred to my current account 9am the next day - "result!" I thought, then had another £200 into my account later that day at 4pm and the HH which was briefly converted to a 6month RS vanished.

This all feels very reminiscent of the issues he has getting YBS accounts to open and I think Newcastle refused him at the 1st attempt as well ...
I believe the correct term for someone in your partner's position is

"Your old man is well dodgy, innit!"
I am starting to think he has a secret past that I dont know about!
What you don't know is neither here nor there, what's really important is what Equifax knows.....

Probably nine / half nine? I had the secure message after lunch the next day, which was the kiss of death I was expecting.

    West Brom Winter Ready

Applied yesterday afternoon and today I had notification and the email with account details and I can fund from tomorrow - a long winded way of doing it but there it is ...
It's becoming increasingly common an instruction, and it usually is because they have gone for a Confirmation of Payee integration which runs once nightly.

I usually ignore the instruction, send straight away and just accept COP won't work; never had a deposit rejected yet!

I've tried sending a payment from BoS and it says the account doesn't exist, so cannot even get it to ignore CoP yet. So I imagine they do something overnight which then makes the account exist.
I consider myself to be a male feminist. Is that allowed?

Same with Santander just now - claims the West Brom account number is wrong and gives no option to proceed with the payment.

According to CS at WBrom ... the account isn't "fully open yet"! That is why I can't set up a PIN for online access. Try again tomorrow they said!  :/

When I opened my Dudley Regular Saver in Dudley branch  I was able to open it there and then without prior appointment. Same branch Festive Regular Saver unable to open it on spot  for some reason. Filled in form and left it with them. Received letter soon afterwards stating account now open and could fund it either in branch or online when passbook would be sent to me.
All funding details followed and payments for December and then January sent by Faster Payments.
Since then no passbook, no letter, not a dicky bird from them.
Will probably call later in week when I am in Dudley.
