Text received from West Brom advising account open at 11:45 ish, so less than 24 hours as an existing customer. Application submitted 1pm or so yesterday.
as a new customer to West Brom, applied at 12:30pm on Monday, got a text & email at 9:23am this morning telling me account was opened and included account number.
You'll be able to pay money into your account electronically from tomorrow.
We'll email you details on how you can register to manage your account online tomorrow.
i'll make the deposit as soon as I can login online.
Also got the email from WB about new RS .... but failed to get online. It goes pear-shaped when I try to create a PIN at the last stage and says try again. I'll try later today.

Still waiting for COP on my Suffolk account opened yesterday, would have expected it to work today. Application finally went at the 3rd attempt at sending the email on 30th December.
you should be able to fund it with a debit card deposit if you don't want to wait for COP.

    Monmouthshire BS

Apologies if someone has already mentioned this but Monmouthshire are having problems with there IT systems.

    Cheers
Ahh, that makes sense with what I was coming here to ask!

I'm aiming for the perfect system of 12 regular savers with one maturing every month.... currently on 9.

Last night via app I opened a Monmouthshire regular saver. It was doing its swirling wheel of death for ages on the "Do not leave this page while we set up your account. Do not press back. Do not refresh. Do not blink. Do not pass go" threatening hold page. After about 20 minutes I accidentally knocked the screen and when back in kicking myself I was pleased to see it had actually opened a RS for me. Actually not one, but two.

Now I know back on about page 442 there were people managing to open 2 accounts due to the paper form queue being too long, and Monmouthshire asking people to jump the queue by also applying on the app. But this is slightly different, both accounts are via the app. Are they likely to notice? Are they likely to bother? Has anyone else had this happen? I'm planning on funding both until they stop me.

    Any advice?

Mine glitched in the app when I opened the Exclusive saver, and it gave me two account numbers. I funded the one which they notified me about by email, and left the other expecting it to disappear as had been mentioned by someone on here. However 3 weeks later it was still there, so I sent a tentative £50 over, followed by another £950 the following day, and neither was returned, so I'm funding both, in addition to the £500 Reg Saver 8.

MonBS don't close down additional accounts obtained innocently, in my experience. Their advice is normally to leave one unfunded which they'll then automatically close - although even this doesn't actually happen [from my experience]!
I had two of Monmouthshire's 7% accounts opened in the summer due to the issues with the app. I've happily been funding both since.
So do I and Monmouthshire are fully aware that I'm funding both Issue 8 RS. At no point when I've spoken to anyone at Monmouthshire have I been told to stop funding either of them, so until I am, I'll just keep going.

I've managed to get online @ WB but still not had the new 10 month West Brom Winter Ready RS account opened as of yet. I applied online at 1pm yesterday, nothing and again first thing this morning, nothing, although I have received the confirmation of application emails with the usual 3-5 days. Swings & roundabouts......
Edit: email for WB to say my Winter Ready RS is now open and I can fund as of tomorrow - hey-ho long winded but at least it's worked out in the end and the "I'm well dodgy, innit?" never happened  :D

    West Brom Winter Ready

Applied yesterday afternoon and today I had notification and the email with account details and I can fund from tomorrow - a long winded way of doing it but there it is ...

OH did his application straight afterwards and his notification came a while after and then an email to say they could not confirm his identity and they needed further information and a link to send document.
I've just uploaded the scan of his passport again to see what happens

This all feels very reminiscent of the issues he has getting YBS accounts to open and I think Newcastle refused him at the 1st attempt as well ...

I believe the correct term for someone in your partner's position is

    Principality Maturity
My Princi 2 Yr HH bonds are maturing tomorrow. What is the latest time I can give maturity instruction?
Ideally trying to give instruction after their staff logs out. I assume its 6 pm.

I may or may not be successful, but I can certainly try & report here later.
