It's been 1 year since this version of the thread was launched
Today marks 1 year since Special_Saver2 handed this thread to me. There's been a few things happening since this version of the thread was launched:
- The Archived History Of Regular Savers Thread *** NO CHAT*** thread took on the function of being a no chat regular savers thread.
- In total 116 accounts were added to p1 of this thread, 124 were removed.
- The BOE Base Rate has been reduced 4 times, falling from 4.75% to 3.75%, lists of the interest rate cuts that came as a result of them were posted, links to them have been included on p1 of the archived thread.
- Thresholds for accounts to be included on p1 of this thread were reduced 3 times and increased once, overall falling from 4.75% or 4.5% where the account has favourable conditions to 4.4% or 4.2% where the account has favourable conditions. Thresholds are going to be decreased again next week, I'll do this as part of my Monthly Update on Wednesday.
- A recent additions section was added to p1 of the thread.
- The Regular Saver Timeline Spreadsheet was launched. There's been 3 lots of ``Regular Saver Snapshots" published, these ware added to the read only spreadsheet that was also launched this year.
- The opening posts of both this thread and the archived thread were also restructured at one point to break them up into clearer sections.
I'd like to take the opportunity to thank all those who have shared their knowledge, expertise and insight on this thread over the last 12 months and hope that the next year proves to be a prosperous one for each of you.

Yes, posted (think on the 20th), opened on 23rd and cheque payment showing online.Dizzycap said:As a side note Dudley BS: Has anyone managed to get both the Dudley BS Festive RS Online & Branch/Post RS? If so, can you see your Branch/Post edition online? I sent off an application form on the single day the online version was available which I managed to open by using my phone, but still haven't had my cheque cashed or received any correcpondance from Dudley about my postal application.1 -

Morning all.
I hace quite a few regular savers maturing in Jan and Feb. Can any contributors enlighten me as to whether the following do or do not accept a “13th payment”?
Bank of Scotland
Chorley
Coventry
Darlington
Ford
Furness
Halifax
Loughborough
Mansfield
Newcastle
Principality
Progressive
Suffolk
West Brom
Thanks! 🙂0 -
Mansfield doesn't mature, it just drops to a rubbish rate of interest as the bonus expires. Close and new application necessary if you want to continue saving at the headline rate.What_time_is_it said:Morning all.

Halifax technically doesn't mature either, it empties out and starts from 0, so if you make a 13th you need to close the account or wait until next month, as the account number will block a new payment made in to it in the same calendar month.
BOS (and Lloyds) both support 13th payment.
Principality doesn't officially but unofficially they normally don't reject them.
West Brom rejects 13th payments I believe, presuming this is a Reg Saver issue 7.
Loughborough's products are normally set with a maximum balance equal to the term, but they offer 2, 3 and 5 year accounts sometimes so it's incorrect to say 13th in this case. Perhaps they offered a 12 month one in January/Feb last year? In any case an extra payment is usually forbidden.2 -
Chorley RS (30.11.2026)
It currently says The product you selected is currently unavailable. Is this because they're in the process of releasing a new issue (presumably 31.12.2026) or because it's genuinely gone NLA?
Online type that is, post sends you to an application form to print out.2
