The Old Regular Savers Discussion Thread 28/12/24-29/1/26

Partially, yes, despite having to pay a balance/money transfer fee per 'term'. I'm happy with even a small return — where I'm making a 'profit' of, say, 2-3% or more... (Does that make sense? It's late and it's been a long day.)s71hj said:Out of interest, how many people on here utilise 0% credit cards to support their regular saver.... habit like I do.0 -
The ``RS drought" has ended:
Nottingham BS Branch Regular Saver Issue 5 and Nottingham BS Online Regular Saver Issue 2 at 4.75% have gone NLA. These have been replaced by Nottingham BS Branch Regular Saver Issue 6 and Nottingham BS Online Regular Saver Issue 3 at 4.25% but with maturity dates of 31/1/27.
Leeds BS Regular Saver (Issue 70) at 4.7% to go NLA. To be replaced by Issue 71 with a new maturity date of 1/12/27.
I shall update p1 of this thread to reflect the above later today.

I'm sure there's plenty of us. Borrow money at a low rate; save it at a high rates71hj said:Out of interest, how many people on here utilise 0% credit cards to support their regular saver.... habit like I do.I consider myself to be a male feminist. Is that allowed?1 -
There's a very good chance I spent one of my months at Uni with a £2.5k 0% overdraft with Nationwide maxed out and a Flex RS and Start to Save Issue 2 with a combined balance of £2.5k.surreysaver said:

Yes, but only recently, as I was brought up with the mindset that credit card = bad.s71hj said:Out of interest, how many people on here utilise 0% credit cards to support their regular saver.... habit like I do.
I can now use them safe in the knowledge that I have the savings to cover paying them off.0 -
The drought continues for me, because these rates are too low for me to want them.Bridlington1 said:The ``RS drought" has ended:

MHBS money received into my current account at 9.32am7

MHBS have paid me £3414.38 today, guessing £1 has been used to keep membership with an Easy Access as instructed.
I can now start to fund my remaining regulars & check my Principality from yesterday and my MHBS account today.

Things seem ok with my Principality accounts, can't fund 2 of them though as already maxed out which does mean of course we get to play the can we get another issue 4 game TWICE this month 😁.
So I've just requested option 2, have £1000 + interest to Virgin & £200 into a "new" issue 4 (converted issue 3) for my account ending on 10th December.
Next up will be an account ending on 28th December 🙃1 -
Anyone having issues with Monmouth app? I’m on IOS but just sticks at ‘getting things ready’
