Back online, needs existing users to reactivate their access.Hattie627 said:Anyone know when Melton BS online will be back up and running? I sent payments to two accounts on 1st October but haven't been able to check that they have been credited. Don't want to phone and bother the staff at a difficult time for them
I've tried and failed.
Anyone able to get access? If it's just me I'll give them a call. It's worked for me.For "account number" they don't mean the account number you send money to, they mean the number in the reference.i.e I had Melton on my spreadsheet as xx-xx-xx xxxxxxx ARGyyyyyyyXXX. And to register I typed 0yyyyyyy as my "account number". That was the only bit I found confusing.0 -
I tried just now and managed to get access. The bad news is that, contrary to what I was advised prior to the website update, my October deposits are not showing.flaneurs_lobster said:

Anyone able to get access? If it's just me I'll give them a call. What might be tripping you up, and did me until I corrected it, is that I entered my mobile number with the leading zero. I got a message, not at this point but at the end of the page saying incorrect data had been entered and that was really the only thing I could think to change, so I removed the leading zero and it allowed me to continue. The website is was really slow to load for me and at first I could only see 2 of my accounts so thought they had lost them altogether but there is a button to click to see more of them.
First impression is not good but time will tell I suppose.2 -
"Confusing" is not the term I'd use. Well done for deducing what was actually required, would have been nice if the same instructions had been forthcoming from Melton.figgyc said:flaneurs_lobster said:

Indeed they do, says to enter your 8 digit account number. Others cleverer than I have deduced that this means the 7 digit numeric bit from the 13 character account id preceded by a zero.BestSeagull said:

I am not a fan of this change, and the instructions are hard to find but if you do manage to find them, they do say to do this, my bold.flaneurs_lobster said:

"At this stage, you’ll need your 8 digitaccount number. You can use either your
mortgage or savings account number.
This can be found in most email or letter
correspondence from us. Please note,
you’ll need to add a ‘0’ at the beginning
of your account number"

The sentence that you've bolded has been added in the last hour (yes I've got a copy of the earlier version).BestSeagull said:

At least they are being reactive to the problems.6 -

Indeed, I would have entered yyyyyyy had it been an 8 digit number, but it was only 7 (and I was slightly worried about getting blocked for too many incorrect entries given my phone number issue.) Customers shouldn’t be left to guess a need to add or omit characters, though perhaps they will communicate that when they (presumably) contact customers to say that the new platform is ready.flaneurs_lobster said:

I haven’t filled all of my 7% capacity yet so Adcock will be funded later in the month, by which time deposits will hopefully be being credited in the normal timescales.
The button to click to view more accounts is a downgrade from the previous version, and nominated account details appear to have been lost. Hopefully they don’t start asking for proof of account ownership to re-add it, as they had it when the account was opened (a cheque.)0
