So my Principality RS issue 3 maturity instructions now show online. The RS 4 is an option, which is wasn't on the letter I received. It feels like the jury is out on here whether timing or random chance dictates whether /how to get such a request through successfully when you already have an RS 4
I'm wondering if today as a non working day followed by a busy Monday morning would. be worth a try. Thoughts?1 -
You know, I was wondering myself (after putting it down to luck originally), if timing has anything to do with it. I thought about submitting a last minute request as perhaps then it would be too late to deny? My issue 3 matures on the 13th Sept. I don’t currently have an issue 4. I will probably give maturity instructions today to get the issue 4. My last one I successfully got another issue 3 after giving instructions online over the weekend - my next matures the 13th so am going to submit it next Sunday 🤞1 -

I have now added a new section to the first page of the main regular savers thread, the ``Recent Additions" section. This is a continuously updated list of all the regular savers which have been added within the last half month to month which are still available and is in the format of the list of which accounts have been added to the thread in my monthly summaries.
On 15th of each month all the regular savers added prior to 1st of the month shall be removed from the list, on the final day of the month all the regular savers added prior to 15th of the month shall be removed from the list.
This list is purely an addition to the first page of the main regular savers thread so all listings remain as they were.Changes to thresholds:
Previously I was only including accounts where the interest rate is 4.5% or better, or 4.3% if the account has favourable conditions (e.g. you can pay in £500 per month or more, the interest rate is fixed, or if the account matures after at least 2 years).
As you shall no doubt be aware the BOE Base Rate was cut from 4.25% to 4% on 7/8/25. After reviewing the wider savings landscape following this decision I have chosen to alter the thresholds for regular savers to be included on the main Regular Savers List.
I am now including accounts where the interest rate is 4.35% or better, or 4.15% if the account has favourable conditions (e.g. you can pay in £500 per month or more, the interest rate is fixed, or if the account matures after at least 2 years).I have now removed the following regular savers as they have announced reductions to their interest rates to below these new thresholds:
Interest rate: 4.1% AER variable from 29/8/25
Monthly payment: £1-£1,000 per calendar month
Miss any payments: No stated penalty for missing any payments
Penalty-free withdrawals: As many as you want but you have to provide 30 days' notice in writing, by telephone or in branch. Withdrawals can be made by cash (up to £500 per day) or by cheque.
Age of applicant: Aged 13 years old or older
How to open account: Branch or post
Length of account term: 24 months from opening
Maximum balance: N/A
Deposits on non-working days: Treated as having been received the next working day.
Special conditions: The account matures after 24 months. You can only hold one Regular Saver account (irrespective of the issue number) at any timeI have now added the following regular savers as they now meet the criteria to be included in my lists under the new thresholds:

Penalty-free withdrawals: No, withdrawals/closure subject to a penalty of 30 days interest on the funds withdrawn. The penalty for closing the account is waived if Coventry BS have announced a cut to the interest rate of this account in the last 30 days.

Length of account term: 12 months from opening
