Can somebody please remind me about issue 3. I've got £1200 in it, can I make an additional payment on 1st September, account due to mature on 30th, or will it bounce back? If so, I need to cancel a standing order.
I believe Principality have a max deposit balance in place so no extra payments

It's in the Summary Sheet for Issue 3 & 4, just below the para stating that you can't have more than one account of the same issue.......

    Principality 13th Payment

I managed it last time after hearing some people had managed it but I know others have had payment returned
  • 6th October opening date if you want interest to be part of the next tax year.

I've got 2 issue 3 to mature in September but no point to open and fund new ones as maturity savers for a net return of £15.60 after tax per saver.

2 x MonBS Branch Saver applications submitted, in hope. Popped a first class label on in an attempt to get ahead of the masses of Freepost envelopes winging their way to Newport...
Posted mine today with second class stamp. Didn't realise there was a Freepost address. Mine will probably not reach Newport until next week, takes a snail a long time to crawl from Scotland to Wales. Hope I'm not too late. I put a cheque in with the application form, on the basis that it might be tougher for MonBS to reject an application with a cheque than one without (clutching at straws, I know!)
Trying to print a copy of the application form via the one link that has been posted so far is beyond my technical capabilities. Do you have a normal straightforward link? I'm not too bothered about getting a first deposit in this month. TIA
@schiff, I'm not great with that sort of thing either but I found if I hovered over the bottom of the page, a black box popped up. There is a downwards pointing arrow to the right of the box which I clicked on. That downloaded the form to my computer and I was able to print it from there.

Monmouthshire building society app closed for maintenance again. Have they opened another amazing product we've all missed that has led to overload again!!

I bet everyone is catching on to their already decent 6% & 7% options, thankfully I've already bagged them.

They could just be improving stability or something I guess though.

This is probably me being simple but with both Principality and Monmouthshire I have set up two different regular savers but when I try to fund the second one through my Natwest account it refers back to my first account as it is in my saved payee's and tells me I have to delete the first one to fund the second one ? Is there a way to have both set up with the different reference numbers ?
    With NatWest/RBS - no.

Do you have another current account you can use (if not, why not)?

I use FirstDirect and Chase to fund these multiple same account/different reference savers, I'm sure other accounts allow it too.
Nationwide is the best of them, as they are set up as entirely different payees with the nickname field allowing for easy differentiation between them.
I just wish they allowed the payees to be sorted and displayed by nickname rather than payee name. I've now got a long list of accounts in my name since they enforced COP and I'm convinced one day I'll pick the wrong one by mistake.
