As did I, I sent the request yesterday evening and it was actioned around midday. Funds arrived very late in the afternoon, at gone 4:30. Hopefully they reached Loughborough in time to not be credited as Tuesday.Aidanmc said:I closed my Principality 1yr Triple access RS today, a day before maturity.Interest was £19.88 altogether, (£10.78 of which was added previously)

Can you close it online? ThanksAidanmc said:I closed my Principality 1yr Triple access RS today, a day before maturity.Interest was £19.88 altogether, (£10.78 of which was added previously)Yes, click on account services on top of accounts page and you will see close account option.Mine was closed within a few hours of requesting.Bank holidays and weekends probably have to wait.
Probably not very much. Maturity was tomorrow, but then its a bank holidays and weekend, so probably would have been tuesday before i could do anything.0 -
My 1Y Triple Access RS was due to mature later this month. I shut mine early largely for the sake of cashflow. Both my HSBC & FD regular savers get funded on 10th so I needed £550 for that. The rest ended up getting paid into Coventry's Loyalty RS Issue 2 not long after midnight today.s71hj said:

It’s a right pain when funds get limited between reg saver maturities.Bridlington1 said:

I’m lucky this year they are spread nicely and I should have a 4k or 5k buffer.
I spoke to principality today re closing & reopening a new triple access.
I decided to wait until Tuesday as will get interest until then.
But was told I should be able to open a new one tomorrow as old one is closed.

Just opened a new Principality 1 year triple access regular saver.Mine just matured today, not added interest yet, will wait and see.One other thing, my spreadsheet needed updating as this will be a 2026 reg saver for tax purposes.

Same here. I also attempted to fund it with the first £50 via internal transfer from the matured account (now a maturity saver), but unlike the usual instant transfer, it notified me that it would be executed within 1 business day. Same for the withdraw of most of the funds in that maturity saver.Bigwheels1111 said:Just opened a new Principality 1 year triple access regular saver.Mine just matured today, not added interest yet, will wait and see.0 -
Agree, it is a right pain when there is a short fall and cash flow is limited.
I had a few easy access accounts with YBS with various amounts which I've now closed all of them as the interest rates are now not acceptable. This leaves just 3 YBS regular savers per account, OH and myself and the proceeds will fund the various standing orders for the end of April and May 1st.
April 30th the Chorley BS regular savers matures so that goes part way to funding SOs in May and June 1st - the drought finishes in June, numerous accounts maturing.
But thinking forward to April 2026 the same shortfall will happen as no new accounts have been opened so I need to double check I've not missed a 12 month reg saver
Update - found Principality issue 36 - not the best interest rates but for now it fulfills the criteria of maturing in April 2026.

I’ve done the same. My first ever principality internal transfer. Lesson learned - not going to do this again. I’ve withdrawn the remaining funds to my nominated account and expect money to arrive today because previously weekend withdrawals arrived on the same day.PowerSavingMode said:

I also have a shortfall next month - but Saffron Members Month RS matures at the beginning of June, so RSs are then self-funding until and including January. Some months have more maturities than needed and others none, so to cover some of them it is a case of parking the money in an EA for a month or so.I opened a new Halifax 5.5% fixed a few days ago, as I thought the rate might drop given the impending BoE meeting at which a drop seems more likely than not following February’s precedent, which was that a cut only needs inflation to be lower than expected, not at or below target. Also the rate drop in the new issue from Market Harborough; them plus West Brom going to branch opening only and the only new accounts this month (if I recall correctly) being locals only. Only with £25 so far but if rates fall it will be fully funded and would be an April 2026 maturity.Hopefully the majority of accounts I have can be replaced with new versions as they mature otherwise there will be more holes in the RS calendar.0

I don't know if this has been reported:
I used to be able to refresh the Halifax/BoS RSs from the Halifax login.
I couldn't with one that just matured... and I spent some time chasing 'chat', and closing historical savers thinking that could be be the issue.
Chat was a waste of time on an Instant Saver that wouldn't close and couldn't transfer a 3p balance out.. only to be CS fobbed off with, "...need to go to branch with ID.."
Anyway today I had the idea of trying logging in on my BoS profile.
And, lo.. I got the RS open and funded irrespective of the fact that I still couldn't transact or close the instant saver... but who cares...
