Hi all l'm aware there are a lot of comments about vanguard and their new charges.
I am in the low investment bracket that will hit me hard. So I was thinking of withdrawing. Is anyone aware of a similar investment like the 80/20. I saw somewhere maybe the HSBC global strategy funds, but not sure. Any guidance would be much appreciated.
Hope all had a Merry Xmas.
Many thanks

You can buy/invest in Vanguard LifeStrategy 80 on many other platforms than the Vanguard Platform.
Remember it is only the Vanguard platform charges that have changed. The charges for the investment funds have not changed.2 -
I assume that the new charge you are referring to is the upcoming minimum £4/month fee for holding your investments on the Vanguard platform? The costs of the funds themselves aren't changing. If you like Vanguard LifeStrategy 80, you can certainly still continue to hold it, but could do an ISA transfer to move your ISA to a platform which has platform charges that you think are better suited to you (see the Monevator broker comparison list, for example). (And remember: don't just withdraw from your ISA as your investments will then lose their ISA status.)However, as most other platforms have transaction charges for mutual funds/OEICs (such as the LifeStrategy funds), you might still find that the Vanguard platform charges still work out cheaper for you overall, depending on how often you buy/sell.

It doesn't matter the platform. All vanguard are still £4 a month under £32,000. Where would I find the 80/20 on another platform as suggested.
Thanks for your replies.0 -
