Spusu - calling EU from the UK?

Options
I just saw a mention of the MVNO “Spusu”. In addition to EU roaming they also appear to include free calls from the UK to EU countries, something not seen elsewhere.

Anyone using them care to elaborate as details on their site seem a bit sketchy.

Thanks

Yes, I have a spusu sim as a back-up to my contract 3 sim which has rather patchy coverage. Pretty pleased - £2.90 per month to include 1GB, unlimited mins and texts.  It does, as you note, also include 500 mins of calling from UK to EU.  So far a very good purchase for me, and easy to switch to it when walking in the Wales borderlands where 3 coverage is poor.  Hope this helps...
  • Thanks Famau, I didn’t find the “500 minutes” on their website, which makes sense.

    Good to know!

I had one of the Spusu £2.90 special deals. Everything was fine except neither VoWiFi nor VoLTE would work with my phone. After enquiring, there seems to be a limited range of phones that they support for this, unlike 1P Mobile. Also, not all recent models from any given manufacturer are supported.

It would be wise to check model compatibility if these services are important to you.

You need to know, however, that Texts from the UK to the EU ARE NOT free! You have to pay for every text from the UK to the EU, despite being free FROM the EU to the UK.

Also, you need to know that SPUSU does not allow sending MMSs at all, on any of its contracts - they don't appear to tell you that in advance: a bit naughty!
