    It is, of course, your decision about whether you should pursue this job, but as you say it will most probably change their perception of you and possibly how you are treated going forward. If your ESA has finally been approved maybe you should just accept that this is an opportunity to manage without the stress of finding and keeping a job. It might not be forever but a period without the stress of work may help in your recovery.

    It will be dependent on you setting a realistic budget and sticking to it as you know there will be no more money coming in. Have you been awarded PIP too? Once you know what income you have coming in regularly you need to be disciplined about sticking to it. You have shown that you can be disciplined recently with the huge changes you have made to your diet and exercise so I have no doubt that you could do the same thing with your finances.
