OPODO problems

Options
Hi
Not done anything like this before although followed Martin since he started.
Not sure if I can contact MSE direct, if I can, any advise appreciated.
I had a flight which was booked through OPODO flying with Loganair via BA.
The return flight was cancelled and resheduled a day later which I took.
An event which I had paid for had to be cancelled with no, or so it seems avenue of redress.
I wrote letters of complaint to Loganair and BA but they both said the problem was with the booking agent i.e. OPODO.
OPODO did not want to know about the problem telling me to take it up with the Airlines.           Also contacted CAA but didn't get anywhere with them either.
Just wondering if anybody has had luck with a complaint against a third party agent.

Complaint for what? What are you looking to get for as an outcome?

As 400ixl asks, more detail required.

If you are hoping for some redress or compensation for missing an event you were travelling to then you will be disappointed. If you asked this of Logan Air and then BA I expect they palmed you off to the agent (who would equally not be liable).

The operating air carrier (presumably Loganair in this case) has responsibilities to the passenger, broadly consisting of being required to rebook onto another flight, with accommodation and meals funded until then, plus fixed tariff compensation if the cancellation was due to an issue within the airline's control.

The UK/EU261 flight cancellation/delay regulations don't entail any liability for consequential losses such as external events, so those would be a matter for any travel or other insurance policies you took out....
