Can You Hide Accounts On BOS App

I have recently installed the Bank of Scotland app on my phone. I like the app and can quickly access my accounts by fingerprint. However it lists every account in both BOS and Halifax including my main account, joint accounts, saving accounts, ISA, credit cards etc. For convenience and security, I only want view my everyday current account on the app so is there a way to do this.
I have googled it and there are instructions to go to Settings / Open Banking connected accounts on the app, but everytime I try it just flags up a red error message and says try again later. I suspect this feature is for viewing or removing accounts from different banks.
I do not want to remove any accounts from online banking and still want to view them all on my desktop.
Any advice would be appreciated.

I don't think you can. I have same but don't see it as an issue tbh.0

My wife installed the Halifax app and was quite shocked to see her Scottish Widows pension on there!
I vaguely knew they were part of the same group but it's a very odd decision to automatically show pensions in a banking app. We were told that there was no way to hide or remove it from the app. The end result is that she uninstalled the app and, a bit later, stopped using the Halifax account completely. There were some other reasons but the pension thing was definitely a contributing factor.0 -
I would like to hide accounts on the RBS app - they are in alphabetical order and the top one is "exec of...." mother who died nearly 7 years ago.0

The account is still required after that much time? If not, can you close it?Flugelhorn said:I would like to hide accounts on the RBS app - they are in alphabetical order and the top one is "exec of...." mother who died nearly 7 years ago.

good point - probably could! has been empty for 5 years - TBH I am sure RBS said they would close it after 12-18 months anyway.QrizB said:

Its common and becoming more so as the banks want to be getting into wealth management. And more people than not want to see all of their accounts in one place.boingy said:My wife installed the Halifax app and was quite shocked to see her Scottish Widows pension on there!

There are always some who don't want it, but the trend is very much the opposite.2 -
I have found a partial work around with limitations. I have another everyday account with Santander, so I have added my BOS everyday account to the Santander app with the intention of uninstalling the BOS app. Unfortunately all you can do is view your balance and transactions, so it is very limited. You cannot make payments or transfers.0

Have to ask (to you and the op) what is the actual issue with the BoS app showing your Halifax accounts (and vice versa) that would make you want to link your BoS to Santander via open banking?justin128 said:I have found a partial work around with limitations. Genuinely intrigued why it's seen as a problem.
For me it's a benefit.1 -
Just to highlight for anyone else that this thread was about the Bank of Scotland BOS app rather than Royal Bank of Scotland RBS that are part of Natwest so any replies about BOS aren't relevant to your situation.Flugelhorn said:I would like to hide accounts on the RBS app - they are in alphabetical order and the top one is "exec of...." mother who died nearly 7 years ago.Remember the saying: if it looks too good to be true it almost certainly is.1 -
I think you mean any replies about RBS aren't relevant, given OP is discussing BOS/Halifax accounts.jimjames said:
