Smart parking and RingGo

So I used a car park in Glasgow city centre, have proof of payments in the RingGo app yet today I receive 2 bills from the 2 different dates.
One thing I can see is I was over by around 10 minutes each time.
Smart parking actually billed me years ago for parking in a shop car park, I ignored all their attempts to contact me with their fake lawyer letters and final warnings. They actually got to a stage where they 'randomly' contacted my insurer and said my car was involved in a bump on same date and time of the parking. I told my insurer I wasn't driving that day and heard no more from them.
Anyway, do I do the same and not acknowledge the letters, or can they actually get payment details from RingGo or some other means??
I seen on other posts the word POPLA mentioned but not sure what that means

Do you mean you got Parking Charge Notices?Doesn't really matter as you can safely ignore them, as long as the Privte Parking Company don't know who was driving.Things that are differerent: draw & drawer, brought & bought, loose & lose, dose & does, payed & paid2

Yes, to my name and address with pics of the car it says parking charge notice number. So as before I can just ignore it, put up with the letters for a while and forget it all?oldernonethewiser said:Do you mean you got Parking Charge Notices?Doesn't really matter as you can safely ignore them, as long as the Privte Parking Company don't know who was driving.
Suppose as said in op, I'm not sure why I'm being given this as I had already paid. Surely they wouldn't issue a £100 fine, (kindly discounted to 60 😂😂😂😂😂 if paid in 14 days) for being no more than 12 minutes late both times0 -
It isn't a fine and they will send out speculative invoices at the drop of a hat.I assume you are the registered keeper. They don't know who was driving so it can progress no further.Things that are differerent: draw & drawer, brought & bought, loose & lose, dose & does, payed & paid2

Almost all private parking companies will issue a PCN for the most minor infraction of their Terms and Conditions. If you live in Scotland at the moment you can ignore as it is not worth their while to chase a debt of £100 through the courts. Ignore them and debt collectors and they will eventually give up.2

No need to worry about the debt collector threats either then??Thanks0

The fourth post of the NEWBIES thread explains exactly how to deal with debt collector's letters, but to summarise that post - ignore them.1
