Origin Broadband and phone price hike

I'm currently in contract with Origin Broadband for both BB and phone. I am mid contract and my current monthly DD is £38. I've received an email telling me they are increasing the monthly payment to £44......it's seems an outrageous price hike mid contract! Any Origin customers here that has received the same email?

I have had an email increasing mine from 24.61 by £3 and then another £3 annually. I've been looking around and all companies have moved to fixed price increases (usually £3) as the are no longer allowed to charge RPI (which I was happy with). For me £3 is well over 10% annually. But everywhere is the same.0

I'm currently with Origin. They appear to have increased my monthly DD payment from £33 last month to £71.51 this month. No idea why. I'm currently sitting in the queue to their complains department and have been for the past 40 minutes. FYI, my broadband speed is a pathetic 20Mbps (I'm in the Highlands). For an extra £2.50 I can have Starlink at 300MBps. I understand that it's probably a mistake, but I'm certainly not impressed with their customer service.0

You are probably at the end of an introductory deal for 12/18/24 months, and at that point the price will shoot up to the out of contract rate.Complaining to the complaints department if you are now out of contract isn't really going to get you anywhere; what you really need is retentions. Or find another provider with a better deal. With regards to Starlink, all I'm going to say is you might want to look into who owns that...0 -
Midona. How did you get on. This is almost the same as my Dads who is 94. He agreed a tarrif in July for £23. The new tarrif appears to be £20 for the landline with a call package of £15 plus £2 for statements. In the month the package changed he was charged £75!0
