First time looking at usage from OVO since moving to them and becoming bill conscious.
Surely we're not using half the annual national averge of electric a month. What is your usuage ?
We live in a 2 bed flat. Two adults, one 6yo. This seems insanely high for us.

Biomass/Gas is coming up to about 1/3 of the price.0 -
You need to do an audit. There are loads of posts about finding out where you are using electricity. We found we had a lot of halogen spot lights and someone had left a freezer door open in the garage. We also had an old American style fridge freezer which used loads of energy. We were using 27kwh per day. Now we use about 10kwh. Do an audit and post your observations. I am sure people can make suggestions. You say you are in a flat perhaps you have an immersion heater or are using an electric shower. Or your meter is not reading right.0

About par for all electric ? Is the panel heaters ? Where does the Biomass come in ?
Surprised you've not noticed with your pervious supplier ?
I assume this is an actual reading of yours ?Never pay on an estimated bill. Always read and understand your bill0 -
Post a photo of the meter and do the Meter Sanity Test.1

I've also had am unusually massive bill this month and trying to work out why. I created this thread if it might be of interest to you

Start with the basics - is this bill based on real measurements or estimates ?Do you have your day 1 measurement and currentOr a recent and currentHave you checked bill meter serial numbers as it's a flat - is it smart - of have you used - or been given if let someone else take the readings - the wrong meter reading if in a communal meter cabinet.Never let anyone take a day 1 reading or any other reading your behalf - fraud is rare - but definitely not unheard of.And as above - if a remote meter especially - do the meter sanity test. But there is a risk you are also probably comparing your use - including heating - unless you have a block biomass central heating and hot water supply (which was the set-up after my sisters HA upgraded their heating) - to the 2700 kWh median TDCV type levels - for those with other forms of heating. For profile class 2 - the median Ofgem TDCV - is 3900 kWh - and with 2 adults and a young child - you are likely to be over that. The properties it covers are different - and many with no mains gas - certainly in larger houses - have long since moved to oil, LPG or wood stoves as an alternative cheaper than electric heat source. In one recent report - on standing charges - Ofgem used 7000-8000 kWh for a family like yours.1000kWh is a non trivial energy consumption - but its only just over 30 kWh per day - and believable if it does contain hot water and heating. But your gas / biomass comment would seem as above to suggest otherwise.a bath and a couple of showers a day - could top 5kWh - normal electric - 5-10 kWh (per load of washing 1kWh - cooking 2-3 meals per day - another 3-5 kW - tvs game consoles pcs on for hours etc ) etc - drying using tumble dryer - more. And the normal killer - heating the whole flat maybe 24/7 - could easily be 15-20 kWh even in milder winter days - even more on sub zero days given we have had a couple of cold snaps in last month - including freezing fog for 2-3 consecutive days up in Scotland and a few really windy / dull / damp days with the storms.0

We run at about 250kwh a week this time of year so very similar All electric, storage heaters plus one panel. Large 2 bed flat.2 people. Electric shower. Thermal store charged overnight for DHW.
Storage heaters at 21C from 8 til 10 for health reasons. Panel in my home office at 19C.
If it gets really cold the usage in a month can get to over £250 a month.Officially in a clique of idiots0 -
1100kWh is about 6 months consumption for us, but we don't have a property full of power hungry appliances.

I'm using just under 1000kWh a month to heat a well insulated bungalow, together with a log burner that is lit for several hours every evening. So although your usage may well be on the high side it's probably not out of the ball park for this time of year if it includes heating. It depends how warm you keep the flat and how well insulated it is.
I suggest you get busy with your smart meter display to understand what is going where, If you need help with that or don't have a smart meter display, just ask :-)
