You sue him personally. (If you can find an address for him).

Or ... how did you pay for the tickets, and what were their individual prices? Also, how long ago was this? (I'm wondering if a chargeback or a Section 75 claim is a viable option).
We bought family tickets for £45 back in May. The show got cancelled and they guy said he would roll over the tickets for the next event in October, which then got cancelled as well, he said on Facebook he will refund tickets and in personal email, but he never did. I warned him we go to small claims if he does not refund but he ignored it. I made a small claims with the only address we could find on Facebook. Now worried I’m £85 out of pocket from this guy.
Plus potentially more if you decide to claim against him personally.

Some things are not worth pursuing and 'the principle' comes at a cost.
  • For that amount of money I'd write it off.  £85 already gone, spending on another court fee would be foolish when he's already ignored the first one.

Could you exert more leverage on social media to get him to refund?

A chargeback would be the easiest option if possible, but as others say, you'd have to go for the individual it is a sole trader.

I'd do a letter before action first.

Does he have the money to pay you? Even if you get a court order you cannot get any money if he has none.

Are the chargeback rules from initial payment, or (for a scheduled event) from date of the event. If the latter, and given that it was rescheduled to October, wouldn't that still be within time?

Hello, I need some help please,

I made a money claim against British Kingdom Pro-Wrestling after they cancelled an event and the owner said he would refund tickets but didn’t.

The time for him to respond ended and I had the option to send him a CCJ today, which I did. I had an email back saying:

”Your claim form is attached to this email. The claim form is ‘un-served’ – this means Royal Mail could not deliver it and it was returned to us.

The claim form is ‘served’ if you believe the address is correct.”

British Kingdom Pro-Wrestling address seems really fishy, it’s not listed on their website, however it is listed on their Facebook as Unit 44, BizSpace, Unit 44, BSS House, Cheney Manor Ind, Est, Cheney Manor, Swindon, SN2 2PJ - which I used.

however on google it says they are permanently closed at that address, which is not true as the company is still making events.

What do I do next as I can’t find any other information about them?
It's got some unnecessary duplication there but you can see that they are using BizSpace which is basically co-working space. On the basis it was returned/refused presumably they've stopped hot desking there.

You need to have issued against a legal entity, this would be the person themselves if they are a sole trader or would be the company itself if they are incorporated. Their website breaches a number of requirements and doesn't actually identify the legal entity you are contracting with so you'd need to dig through emails etc to see if anything they've sent you does.

If you have issued against the wrong entity or an entity that doesn't exist unfortunately thats on you and you cannot include the wasted court fees in a subsequent claim.

It would go back to original payment. Unless OP has something in writing. Then might take October one (subject to 120 days) & Subject to 540 days from actual debit date.

Given no mention of when any payments were made & time from October to get to court for a CCJ seems a bit quick. So wonder if this goes back to 2023?

Cancelled show in June 2024 and again in October.
I am genuinely surprised there seems to be so little done about it and he is hiding very well. My son (with special needs) has lots of cute photos with wrestlers there, so I’m hoping I can get somewhere on social media.
Just sad as the family really enjoyed it, loyal customers and he runs off with money despite writing he will refund.

*UPDATE* he blocked me on Facebook page
