DCB Legal - Creating my defence

Options
Hi everyone, before I get into it I just want to say thank you for all the resources on this forum, I have been following through this process up to this point following the advice here and now I'm creating my defence.
I'm pretty sure what I'm doing next, but just to clarify - IM NOT uploading my defence using the portal provided via HM courts tribunal service MCOL and instead I'm emailing my defence to the email provided in the guide, is that correct?

My defence will use the template provided but also apply details from my own situation in whatever section it was, number 3 I think.

Once I've written up my defence ill post it into here for some feedback excluding any personal details that could verify who I am.

Has anyone ever requested to lengthen the time they have to send in there defence? My little girl was born just a few days ago and my final day for submission is the 24th December. If I can extend I would like to try but if it's highly unrealistic I won't bother and I'll just get it done before the weekend.

    Hello and welcome.

What is the Issue Date on your Claim Form?

Can you please show us a picture of the Particulars of Claim - with all your personal detail hidden of course.

    Who is the Claimant?

Have you filed an Acknowledgment of Service?
If so, upon what date did you do so?
Your MCOL Claim History will have the definitive answer to that.

The deadline is fixed,  no extension

Depending upon who the claimant is,  plus which lawyers too  ( dcblegal  ) ,  you might only spend 5 minutes changing paragraph 2 at the end, then using the short rebuttal paragraph as 3 , so 2 quick changes

    No stories,  short and sweet

    Congrats!

You don't need an extension. Dead easy!  Just ONE DATE to change. Just use the para 3 that begins:

    "Regarding the POC"

It is on every new defence in every DCB Legal claim thread, in November and December.  Click on a few.  You'll see.

Part of it. Look on other DCB claim threads for the POC that everyone else is showing us.

And yes it is so simple that you are going to be emailing a 30 paragraph signed/dated defence with just one phrase added by you to para 2 and one date changed in the new DCB case specific para 3. That's all for this stage!
