Ahhh thank you so much @Four_Seasons it was a bittersweet day, but I’m feeling very thankful.Ohhh that’s a good shout, I have a NT place a couple of miles away, it’s somewhere I go walking regularly but not thought about volunteering there, I’ll look into it.
Hope you’ve had a lovely day xx3 -

I’ve been learning Spanish on Duolingo since the first lockdown. Although I’m nowhere near fluent it’s been useful on holiday in Spain on a few occasions. It’s fun and educational as well as free.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)1

Oh have you @Sun_Addict I’m definitely going to give it a go, I did wonder about Spanish but French seemed more familiar. Plus my friend has a holiday home in France and I’ve got chance to go there so it made a bit more sender to learn Frenchnx2

So Christmas has come and it's gone. Already giving some thought as to what I want to do next year, fancy doing something different, or going somewhere different. We'll see as it's so expensive to do anything over Christmas.
Had some lovely gifts and a lovely Christmas lunch with family, sent home with lots of leftovers too which is nice.
Spendy morning this morning though...... went to Dunelm to get a blind for the kitchen, which was great as it was half price. Then saw a lovely rug for the lounge, again great news, half price......they both look lovely so I'm chuffed with them. Gutted to see the bedding and towels I'd bought when I moved into my new house a few months ago all half price and my curtains had 20% off......grrrr really annoying, but not a lot I could do about it.
Not much planned for the rest of the day, I might go out a walk later, although it's very grey and mizzly where I am. Might just stay snuggled up on the sofa eating mince pies
Hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas x3 -
Glad you had a nice Christmas. Good idea to have a list of things to do. We pay for NT membership so we've always got somewhere to go. We do like to head to the coast as well for the day. We don't spend much when there, so it's only fuel and maybe a drink and snack.
I learn French on Duo as well, I've been doing it since the summer and it's really good."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee1
