Removing a smell from my home

The smell has improved but seems to be coming from the tumble dryer. I am surprised a smell can stick so much put air fresheners in every corner of the house. My fear is this smell won’t shift I am glad I removed the wrap as smell an instant improvement but still lingering scents0

Still a bit of a smell in the dryer not sure if it will eventually go? Tried tumble dryer sheets no joy0

I'm not sure what you're smelling but it can't be from a man smoking a cigarette over 10 days ago?I used to work for the company that wraps London Taxis in vinyl advertisements, and wrapped our own kitchen in 'American Airlines silver' so I know exactly what wrap smells like, and I can't abide cigarette smoke, but in my tumble dryer?Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

I have smelt 3 different smells
The smoke smell went a week or so ago
My tumble dryer smells musty now that has not gone no idea why? Cleaned it out?Still a sweet stale smell. Not sure if it’s off vinyl?0 -
So the smell is worse with heat. Tumble dryer and heating on. So what could cause it? It only arrived after the wrap was done. I removed that wrap and got another but still the smells remain. Is it going to be a full new kitchen?

So I got a new tumble dryer as the musty smell wouldn’t leave. Also had a new wrap. I can’t smell much anymore but occasionally I get odd wiff. No idea what it is? Glue from the wrap? Ideally I’d not rip the entire worktops out as it’s been quoted at £600 for that job for me. Plus there’s removing the cooker to do it seems a lot of hassle. To actually smell these worktops I can’t smell a thing so I have no idea why i get the odd wiff of something?

JohnB47 said:I understand that this is a really big problem for you but I would suggest giving it a bit of time to resolve itself. I've had similar issues in the past, after building work, but much more minor in nature. I've found that given time, they fade. I'd suggest that you give it a week or two before you think of making a change.0
