Date for ISA transfer

Seeking advice from those more experienced.
Fixed cash ISA matures 30/12/2024.
Have opened new cash ISA account with different provider - as yet unfunded.
Have to fill form in to transfer money from 1st provider to new account.
What date should I put on form for transfer to happen to ensure I'm not transferring before maturity?
30/12/2024 or 31/12/2024?
Thanks.

Normally there is a box to tick to request 'transfer on maturity' or something along those lines.

The first thing I would check is what happens to your current ISA if you don't submit any maturity instructions. Most will default to a 'maturity'/easy access cash ISA but there are some providers who automatically roll the balance into another fixed rate ISA account, which would obviously be undesirable if anything goes wrong or the process is delayed.

Does the transfer form that the new provider uses not have an option to 'wait for the notice period to end' in addition to actually specifying a date ?

For example - this is these are the options available when you transfer-in to a Principality cash ISA, which mean that you wouldn't have to specify a date...

[    ] Wait for the full notice period to end or [    ] wait until the maturity date __/__/__  before going ahead with this transfer.

Personally, I always let mine automatically convert into a maturity/easy access ISA (as that's been the default option for the fixed rate cash ISAs I've held) and then transfer on from there. This can lead to a small loss of interest due to the difference in rates (can be as little a few day's-worth though if the transfer is electronic), but I've never had a single ISA transfer issue by doing this, whereas the route you're looking at can sometimes lead to problems judging by the occasional thread posted here on that subject.
