We have a holiday booked in the next few weeks to Turkey. The holiday is all inclusive, so we don't need to worry about money for food etc.
However we still want to take a bank card for experiences etc.
Our current bank account is Royal Bank of Scotland (which we use for every day uses)
And I have a Monzo account.
Which offers the best deal for using aboard?

'Normal' high st current account cards usually have a fee for foreign spending (there are some exceptions). You need to check what fees RBS would charge.
Personally I woukd get a no fee credit card.0 -
The Monzo debit (and credit) cards are free of fees for overseas spend.

but note the limits on cash withdrawals in non-EEA countries.

Monzo is great because it spends in the local currency then tells you what you have spent in Sterling0

The regular RBoS debit card is classified as "This is a bog standard overseas spending card" on MSE.You'd be better with a "user friendly" card such as Chase or Starling.

What sort of experiences - if its beach or water sports, then remember these might be requested in cash. So consider the cost of cash withdrawals with your chosen card.0

I'm thinking if we go shopping etc.0 -
I wouldn't use the RBS and you really want more than one card as a backup.0

How about a cash card type account like Zing? Or there may be time to secure an account with (say) Starling or Chase.0
