    Apologies for the delay in responding. MCOL history below. Appears they've not registered my defence despite sending it on the 23/12 and getting an acknowledgement email. I wasn't aware it would show up on the the MCOL history, so I hadn't checked until now.

    OK do a formal complaint to get their mistake put right. If the clerk tells you to fill in a N244 application tell them they are wrong and "no".

    Yet another case or cases showing how bad MCOL is

    The crappy system should take shutdowns into account , IMHO they should allow a pdf upload via the MCOL login page and that should count as a defended claim
