Thank you for the kind words. I did download a daily journal app for my phone. I used it for a few days before I lost my job. I think I will write down one positive daily. It might gather momentum.0

I find "u tube " helpful, admittedly some nutters but some really good people who offer really good motivation. One guy I like he's called Joey Schweitzer and his channel is called Better Ideas. I like his channel it motivates me I wouldn't say I take on everything he shares but I try to pick up a few things and it helps me.
I personally find avoiding social media i.e IG makes me feel so so much better.
I'd say coming here today and being so honest is definitely a positive one for your journal it doesn't help just you but others on here who share very similar challenges so also a good one but it's not for me to decide. I'll leave you in peace and wish you a pleasant evening and good rest. (they also say writing down a daily positive or positives really helps for a good nights rest)0 -
Hopefully you will get counselling soon as you seem to have a lot of negative feelings & people in your life. One debt related comment I would like to make is please pay your ground rent as a priority. Unless things have changed (which they may have done) it used to be possible to take a property from someone if it remained unpaid.0

My receiving counselling is subject to a waiting list. I don't know how long it will be but aye I could do with it.0 -
Ok it's past midday now and I still haven't been given a start date. I was hoping I would have been by now and I was hoping the start would be tomorrow evening. But there you go.
I'm a little concerned that it might go belly up and I won't get a start date at all. That maybe that it's a punishment because I didn't go in and cover a shift last week. The problem there was safety boots. I don't have any safety boots so I couldn't work. It was somewhat annoying that I was asked to work at such short notice less than 6 hours after my induction was completed.
I've been given some bad news about counselling as well. The firm are still picking up clients from August 2023 and I signed up during August 2024. I don't know how that plays out in real terms but I presume counselling is a long time away.
I have an appointment today, however, with the NHS Stop Smoking Service. Smoking cessation, at least, is a step in the right direction and will save money.0 -
Ok I've got a prescription for four weeks worth of smoking patches. I should be getting them for free on UC. I pick them up on Thursday and begin the no smoking on Friday. Yep.0

Things have gone ever so slightly turbo. I am very much claiming universal credit, I am trying to claim housing benefit to pay the service charge that goes with my leasehold and I am on a payment plan for the ground rent.
The job I was offered seemed to be ad hoc in the end. They got rid of me after one shift because they said I was too slow. I feel like I was messed about somewhat. Although possibly I entered the new job without the correct mind set. I was somewhat lethargic and I feel like the supervisor noticed. Perhaps other staff noticed.
I am continuing my job search. I have agreed a reduced payment plan for my mortgage and as soon as my universal credit is in I will begin a Token Payment Plan with StepChange.
My priority bills are up to date with the exception of £27 mortgage arrears. I will clear that amount tomorrow with my wage for my one shift I did at my "new job."
Lol.
That's the best I can do for now.0 -
I forgot to mention I have downloaded a budgeting app that links to my mobile banking. This will help. I want to see the damage that smoking has done to my bank account over the years. I could use those savings to pay my debts.
Also, I started wearing a smoking patch this morning. I haven't smoked today. That is a saving eh.1 -
I'm also expecting to tank completely today regarding smoking cessation. I think at least today I will be smoking because I am so stressed. I think possibly I will also drink.0

Try ro do something that will prevent that. Go for a walk or work on a budget Something that will keep you occupied.Aiming to make £7,500 online in 20221
