in Water bills
Just received a letter saying that I'm using more water than usual. What is perplexing is that I don't have a water meter?? How do they know I'm using more water than usual??
Has anyone else received a letter from them saying this?
Would be grateful for any clarification. Thank you.

how odd! is there a phone number given where you can ask them ....?
are you absolutely sure it is from the water company? Not someone wanting to come and pretend to find a leak (at great cost)

Were they trying to give you a LeakBot? https://leakbot.io/I had a similar communication (from Southern Water) a week or two ago, although my property is metered. The email included a link to get a free LeakBot. I'm wondering if it's some sort of marketing campaign / promotional thing?N. Hampshire, he/him. Are you in an isolated location? Water companies have flow meters on their networks to monitor water usage but it tends to be on a larger scale not per house. You might have a water meter but not be charged on it. The water company has the power to install meters on their network but only charge based on its readings in certain circumstances. It might just be a mistake. Their records and administration can be a bit hit and miss. Best to ring them and ask.0
