Any A22 Samsung experts?

I turn my phone on, and it lights up with the menu.

I need to change settings as the screen turns black (dormant-energy save).

Trouble is I havent started typing yet (I'm a bit slow, technology wise). can someone guide me through the steps so i have "say-a minute) before it goes back to sleep mode, please

Settings, display. Look for screen time out and it should give you a number of choices for how long you want.

Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.

    hmmm, nearly there

when you turn on theres a screen without apps. its this screen that fades within 2-3 seconds
i have to turn the phone on, and the screen appears. I then have to quickly swipe the screen (to make the apps appear) before the screen fades to black. Additional tip?

Sorry, can't remember, it was my mum's phone and she doesn't have it any more.
You might want to play with different screen settings and look at the always on display mode?

Are you talking about the lock screen? The one where you enter your Passcode or fingerprint to unlock the phone?

If it’s the Lock Screen, I don’t think you can extend the timeout (unless the phone is compatible with GoodLock and can download LockStar)

Bit of you turn on fingerprint unlock in Settings/Biometric and Security then the phone will go straight to the home screen.

To stop your Samsung Galaxy phone screen from turning off quickly, go to your phone's Settings > Display > Screen Timeout and select a longer duration for the screen to stay on before automatically turning off; you can choose a time limit ranging from a few seconds to several minutes depending on your preference.
    Key points:
    • Access settings: Open the Settings app on your phone.
    • Navigate to display: Select "Display" from the settings menu.
    • Adjust screen timeout: Tap on "Screen Timeout" and choose the desired duration.

That only applies to the Home Screen. The lock screen is set to about 5 seconds.

    home screen, lock screen...hmmm
The first screen when you turn on. it has no apps displayed. My friend says tap the start button, and immediately swipe the screen. I believe the latter screen is the home screen you refer. the former should therefore be the lock screen, by logic.
