Gigaclear, £51pcm existing customer, only £19 for a new customer

I am afraid I disagree with Iniltous.

I have been with Gigaclear for 4 years. On this renewal, they want to increase the price to £51pm for 300Mbps. An increase of 37% over my existing contract.

They do not allow other providers to use their final few hundred metres of fibre. Or I could take advantage of Virgin's offer of a faster full fibre service for less than half the cost.

Perhaps it would be best for Gigaclear customers if the company did go bust. Their final stretch fibre connections could then be incorporated into Openreach and we would benefit from proper competition.

We would then be freed from the monopoly that Gigaclear created with support from Essex County Council - possibly using some of our own tax payments.
