Delayed flight compensation

I am having problem with the compensation from Air India for delayed flight in August 2024. They have agreed to pay but twice i have sent the exact bank details all int Iban codes and all. First time they said my bank rejected the payment. Second time still the comp payment outstanding ,say they are looking into it . Had conversations with a couple of same line inquiry and the same reply our bank rejects thw payment. I don't know what to do next.

If they say they're looking into it then all you can really do is to wait until their investigations are complete - if the payment is originating from India then it could be difficult to trace its route through multiple banks, but ultimately it's the sender's responsibility to do that, rather than the recipient's.

Or if you booked directly with them rather than via an agent, could they issue a refund to your card perhaps?
