Contacted by Johnson Law Firm..

..After I used the MoneySaving expert template to contact MotoNovo regarding a previous finance deal, I was then contacted by Johnson Law firm to say they were dealing with my claim? I have since respond to Johnson's as they requested my personal details, but it's just occured to me they possibly snaffling business and offering their services which I never asked for...

...Or am I mistaken, have MotoNovo given my details to Johnsons as a go between? Seems awfully coincidental they had my registration plate details etc..

Can I / should I, bin Johnsons off? Or will this nul my claim?

MotoNovo have since contacted me to say I have been affected by the PCP commission complaint.

It is not unusual for a firm to outsource their legal work to third parties.   However, if they do that, you would not enter into a contract with that company as you have not employed them.    You should not be charged anything for it either.
However, there have been posters that have found a CMC wanting to charge for it.   That either means they used a spoof site or a staff member is selling details

So, as long as they don't get you to sign any contract, you should be ok.
