Killing off Ivy , what's the best way ?

Get a wire brush (or nylon brush) attachment for a rechargeable drill and very gently apply that to remove the roots. I did this on some trellis which have been overgrown with ivy and it came up looking fine.0 -
I found you need to do both, spray the leaves and cut the roots.
We cut a section out of the main trunks and sprayed the leaves. After 6 months and 3 spraying sessions, the stuff was still alive, those creepers suck water from the air!
We then peeled it back off the walls. Now we are left with millions of vile little strands attached to the wall and don't know how to get those off.0 -
i,ve been told hammering a copper nail into the root will kill off any unwanted ivy, i've just got to find out where to get one from, and try it out, so will let anyone one know where to get one from and wether or not it works when i've done the job0

Add oil to the spray mixture it help it stick to the ivy you will have do this more than once- Veggie oil will do the job,0

i dont like ivy but next doors ivy keeps creeping through the concrete fence im fed up og struggling to get rid of it as i dont like it any ideas to keep it at bay my side
