My wife hates storms. Don't know why, it creates work for me. 87 was the best one.
Only lost a handful of roof tiles in that one. Houses a short distance away had their roofs laid bare.
The last few storms haven't caused me any damage, so I reckon I'll snuggle up in bed with the electric blanket on and dream of adventures with a chainsaw.

Treasure the moments that you have. Savour them for as long as you can for they will never come back again.

    How's it going, MrBrindle?
How was the gig, and the journey home? And the overnighter?!

Well, we had to go on last because the band from Cardiff wanted to play first so they could leave early! So I didnt finish until 11.15pm.

The gig was nearby where my mum lives, so decided to stay with her overnight. Havent ventured back home yet. It was absolutely mental around 2-3am.

    Yup, still very blustery today.
What kind of set do you do? Your own music or covers? Solo or in a band?

Glad you're coping MrB. Good to have company and you can help your Mum if anything needs putting back.
I'm on the SW coast and it's pretty wild. They said it would ease around 11am here but its got worse so it seems.
A few funny noises but turns out a small leaf whiped hard against glass or a passing twig on the roof sounds more desperate than it is. Time to turn the telly up ;)
So far no damage around me. I've been out and delt with some things but now it's turned cold.

It's a good time to check for draughts :)

I can rise and shine - just not at the same time!

Well, I was accompanying my cousin who is a singer songwriter, I played acoustic and a bit of electric guitar. So just a duo. Most of it is original Welsh language music - bit folky. Then chucked  in some Welsh language carols and songs into the set to be festive!

I've just joined  an English covers band though, hoping to get going with that in the new year.

  • Sorry for the slow reply, the only damage we had was a few tears on our poly tunnel and one slipped tile. As far as I know! So pretty happy with that considering the red warning.
