Hello all - Apologies in advance I know this has been discussed tons of times. I have received a claim form from UK Parking Control Limited on behalf of DCB Legal Ltd.
I have read several threads regarding responses to this claim form abliet from a mobile phone, but I can not quite make sense of how to respond.
The issue date is 03 December 2024. Any help would be much appreciated. Thank you 🙏🙏🙏

Its the other way round, plus it came from the CNBC in Northampton
UKPC to DCB Legal , then via the gov MCOL system to you from the CNBC in Northampton
Study the newbies sticky thread in announcements, plus the defence template thread, also in announcements at the top of the forum2 -
Hello and welcome. With a Claim Issue Date of 3rd December, you have until Monday 23rd December to file an Acknowledgment of Service. Do not file an Acknowledgment of Service before 7th December, but otherwise there is nothing to be gained by delaying it.To file an Acknowledgment of Service, follow the guidance in the Dropbox file linked from the second post in the NEWBIES thread.
Having filed an Acknowledgment of Service in a timely manner, you have until 4pm on Monday 6th January 2025 to file a Defence. That's over four weeks away. Plenty of time to produce a Defence, but please don't leave it to the last minute. To create a Defence, and then file a Defence by email, look again at the second post on the NEWBIES thread - immediately following where you found the Acknowledgment of Service guidance.Don't miss the deadline for filing an Acknowledgment of Service, nor that for filing a Defence.
Do not try and file a Defence via the MoneyClaimOnline website. Once an Acknowledgment of Service has been filed, the MCOL website should be treated as 'read only'.
When you have made a few more posts - probably half a dozen or so - please delete your post erroneously placed on the NEWBIES thread. Thanks.3 -
I see thanks for highlighting.
I have only just received this in the post today. First step from my understanding is to complete an Acknowledgement of service? It states to do this on the 5th day?

Thank you @KeithP!
I will wait until 7th December to send off Acknowledgement of service.
At which point my defence I will be sending too ClaimResponses.CNBC@justice.gov.uk?
Also do I need to share details in regards to this parking charge with yourselves?
It was in a cinema car park in Watford (it says not parked correctly within the markings)
Admittedly I did park a bit closer to the line, but not over. In the image they shared my wing mirror is ever so slightly over. I no longer have that document. My friend was actually parked next to me in the bay my wing mirror was slightly protruding. Unfortunately for him he decided to pay these thieves I did not1 -
Show us the POC. See other similar threads.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

I believe I have blocked out all the necessary bits. Will complete AOS today0

As you will see, there's a template defence where you only write one paragraph.
And it doesn't even matter what you put because DCB Legal will discontinue before the hearing, regardless. Just add brief info about the circumstances but also deny the allegations.
As seen in every thread like this. There are loads of multiple PCN claim threads. We win 99% of the time!
I hate providing links to threads because it stops people seeing how to hop around and finding & reading threads for themselves. But in the spirit of the Season, here's one showing what to put for para 3, but please look around and read more (saves us from having to reply with the same stuff on thread after thread):https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/comment/81139187/#Comment_81139187
That shows you some 'deny the POC' wording to include in your para 3. Just add a line about the circumstances & facts that you know but don't admit to being out of the bay.
And of course use the Template Defence but we don't want to be shown it ... please!
Then follow the first 12 steps in the Template Defence thread so that you don't need to ask about the DQ questions or the laughable Mediation phone call.
We hope that we are only needed again by Defendants at WS & evidence stage next year. The 'first 12 steps' advice saves us all time.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

I appreciate all of the help, it is massively appreciated.
I submitted my defence on the 29th of December. I received an email on the day stating I would receive a response in 10 days.
It was an auto email, I have still not received anything in the post. Should the response have been from a real person in relation to my defence?
Can also show you the email I received.0 -
Keep checking your claim history online
Once the CNBC log it , it will show on there, like a bank statement
Then check it weekly, for additions1 -
Also apologies for the double post. I have just taken a look on the Mcol website and it states that my defence was received yesterday. Which would be 07/01/2025.
Exactly 1 day later than @keithP stated it should be. I have the evidence on email that I sent this a lot sooner. Any suggestions as to what I should do?0
